i just know this game, and i was looking for some info for this game, then i find out this game is a FREE game in

China.(I am chinese)

is quite funny, because normally those games from korea is p2p in China, but free in us, but this time is

opposite.

this game has been running quite a while in China.

so if anyone want to know some info for this game i can help.

    His post seemed to lack one, but I'll give you one for the sake of this thread:

    Games that are Pay 2 Play and then turn free do so for a reason, yet you (read: states/europe) will still be paying monthly for a game that it seems is not pulling the desired response to warrant a monthly fee in a different country.

    Given I am bored, know next to nothing about Archlord, and admittedly a little drunk, but none the less thought I would chime in.

    well, altough the game is definitly of high enough quality to be pay to play, it does raise question why we have to pay for a 50$ box and 10~40$ a month for somethings thats free on the other side of the world.

    I don't think there needs to be a point other than a point of interest.

    Heck, I didn't know it was free in China (or Korea?). Though I imagine there is some cost to the player, whether it is at a PC Club (or whatever they call them) or to sign on, etc.

    Hmmm.. though now that I think of it, isn't it setup like some other games where you buy items ingame? Not like the system they are going to institute here but that you can actually purchase armor and weapons, etc.

    Yes, its free there but they have a item shop to make money. F2P with a full item shop wouldnt work here. Peoples here dont think like the Korean's. CM also needs to make some money or AL wont last (or no future games/mmo's). 10 bucks a month wont work, 15bucks would work i gues but CM choosed a new system over it. Lets see how this one works out in the beta.

    well, perhaps. I just wonder if the average player is going to look at it like "paying for extras" with real life money. People who post on the official forums before a game is out are obviously jazzed for it. So we'll see.

    I personally like the idea but can see where power players will really benefit.

    Only thing I'm worried about in this game is not the payment system (It's still going to be a huge grind to the top) but whether or not it's another potion spamming game.  I hate it when you just sit there and continually consume potions to take things on that are higher levels than you.....really should only be able to use potions when you're outside of combat, i.e. when you could actually logout.

    You can NOT spam potions. They are heal over time and so have timers on them.

    Not being able to take a healing potion during a fight is the stupidest idea i heard. Maybe they should also implement where your health doesnt regen so you have to go to the hospital to heal it. They need to make sure you have a decent size health bar and make different size potions so you can fight fight fight fight heal fight fight fight fight heal not fight heal fight heal fight fight dead ohh crap forgot to heal i died. A decent sized health bar will be good liike in SWG or WOW so you can hold your own and not constantly worry about healing.

    That doesn't matter. in Beta, diffrent people will get diffrent amounts of credits. CM will keep an eye on how it will balance out.
