Quit the game after 2 years because of POS

Has anyone got totally fed up of EVE because of POS? Great game, community and developers but had it with these abominations that are slowly killing EVE. They've had a negative effect on the aspects I find most fun in EVE.

POS wars are the most boring thing ever. Its worse than mining. The effort of putting a pos up and sticking a few guns to it outweighs the effort to take it down by force. I also bet that the calculations involved in these things are putting a huge strain on the server (as well as bookmarks) and slowing the server down. Ever since Exodus large scale fleet fights have been unplayable most of the time, or extremely laggy at best. Also, the amount of maintenance involved to keep these things running is ridiculous for deep space alliances, who need POS to maintain sovereignty of their systems. NPC seeded items only avaliable in empire are needed and taking a freighter 50 jumps is no small order.

There are other things that I got fed up with, like log on traps which CCP doesn't seem to want to do anything about. But POS are the worst. CCP needs to bite the bullet and make a few decisions on these things.

I think it's hard to disagree that there's room for improvement in EVE.  It is not perfect hence it's only rated 8.4 rather then a 10.0

Have you started or contributed to any threads reagarding the issue with game mechanics associated with POS's?  Constructive feedback, and critisism, is welcomed and appreciated by the CCP developers; don't confuse "welcome" with armchair developers in the community.

And yes, there are some major issues which I expect to be resolved time within the next 12 months:

    Bookmark exploits

    Convo-Gang_Invite exploits

These are two major issues that are impacting the game in more of a negative manner then the POS.  As for the BM's, players who camp gates are filling their holds with as many BM's as possible to force server and client lag upon those who may be wrping into their location.  I'm not sure how the architecture works other then it's been stated on several occasions by primary developers in CCP that BM's are a major concern that's effecting game play.

Other then that, I still have a LOT of enjoyment from playing EVE.  ;)

My post was geared at the 0.0 people, so alot of people will not be affected at all by the POS problem if they live in empire. I've already lived in empire and don't particuarly find it fun.

Convo and bookmark exploits are bad, but they're not as widespread as people think. I've never been convo spammed in PvP nor heard of anyone effected by it. I know it exists and tends to happen in small fights, but I wouldn't consider this a game killer at all.

I'm sick of POS warfare, too.  I spent a lot of time training for a dreadnought only to wish I'd gone for command ships instead after finally flying it (and using it for what it was intended).  Because of POS, I left 0.0 alliances and am in the process of joining a corp that does mercenary work - Empire wars and raids into 0.0 will be a LOT more fun than dealing with POS and sovereignty.

That aside, the devs have stated they're looking into the POS and sovereignty system.

Is this all you do?  Go from one forum to the other with the same complaint?  Your style of writting is distenctive.  On CCP's forums your a "!" so...........
