No PvP?

in Vanguard: Saga of Heroes

in the FAQ section at the official site they say that there will be no pvp. they will think about it in the expansion...

too bad, cos it must be a great game, realy. cos the the world is gonna be so big and lots of things to explore nstuff, but if the worst thing that could happen to me is to agro the nearest kobold, or farm for hours something, thats not fun.

other than that tho, it seems like its gonna be great.
owning houses, ships, off-line vendors, lots of land to explore, and a big lore to support it.

PS: they got dog-ppl and fox-ppl : lame :P not both! ^^

    Try here 

    They do a better job of keeping a FAQ. Not sure if you were asking about a PvP server or not but maybe that will help.

    Actually Brad McQuaid said there will be atleast 1 pvp server by release.

    I have read that as well, 1 PVP server at release

    I guess that in Vanguard there wouldn't really be much Pvp. I read that myself on their site. They say that the world will be more massive than that of WoW. I am just really happy that they are moving into later Beta stages and soon to be on the shelves.

    I really do hope they are able to implement the PVP ruleset, because for an MMO to survive these days, you really need some kind of PVP in one form or another.  If you look at WoW or Guild Wars (not exactly an MMO but close) they both have a pretty robust PVP system, which has become a draw to people who may not have been attracted to RPGs and/or MMORPGs in the past.

     Not sure where you read they said there will be no PVP.

    15.2 Will there be Player vs. Player servers?

    Yes, and hopefully several variants. How many might be available at launch is up in the air at this point.

      Who ever wrote this is either trying to detour people from Vanguard or they misread the FAQ where it says there will be at least one PvP server at Launch. Also in the SilkyVenom FAQ it states that unlike EQ this game was designed from the ground up with PvP in mind and not just an after thought.

    Good to have that straightened out. Although it would not have been
    that bad to have PvP somewhat later. However, that is just my personal
    preference to see PvP as part of the end-game and not to PvP right from
    the start.
