Free Version?

What do you get or not get in the Free version? I'm very impressed with the reviews on this game and would like to learn more. But $29 just seems steep for a game I never heard of. I could be buying a piece of crap game that is overhyped my the vocal minority.

    I am not sure what the limitations on the free version are, but the premium version has:

    • Multiclass characters with secondary and tertiary classes!
    • Increase your character's power to level 100/100/100!
    • Play an evil Minions of Darkness character! 
    • Use Premium equipment, skills, spells, and advancements!
    • Unlock new powerful monster templates!
    • Choose additional playable races and classes!
    • Join and create new player guilds! 
    • Play on Premium and Realm vs Realm servers!
    • A small patch to your game enables Premium features!
    • $29.95 with no monthly fee to play online!

    The free version has only 3 limitations:

    1/ You can't multiclasse
    2/ You can't raise above level 20 (upt to 100 in prenium)
    3/ You can' tuse 'prenium' Item

    For the rest, you can do all what you want : quest, exploring, trade...

    I strongly suggest you give MoM a try, this is really a great game, with -mostly- nice players, and probably the best value ! => No monthly fee !! That's Rock :)

    I want to get the full version, well really just need the patch. Macs can be a pain with finding stuff for them... dammit.

    Doesn't the free version pause the game for about 2 minutes trying to get you to buy the full version?

    Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

    There have been several changes to the free server over time.  Originally free server players could only play on the "free" server and every ten minutes you would get a two minute "game break".



    At the moment the free players have the restrictions shown in the post above but the game break is gone. In addtion to those rules, free players have a good chance of having there accounts wiped.  I say at the moment because MoM's one mand show dev-team works like a vulcan in warp bubble.  For better or worse, the MoM of tomorow will not be the MoM of today, and he has no fear of the delete button.



    In all honesty I don't think I would have ever payed the 30 bucks to be a premium player, but any thoughts I had of paying money for this game have been remove with the last couple of free character wipes.
