Combat looks ridiculous now.

It looks like two master dancers having a fight, except more colorful. Why not an ability that covers everyone in a giant, flashing rainbow? Ya know, like that move Obi-Wan used in A New Hope. Remember? It was right after he threw down a few strobe lights and then giant neon bubbles filled the room and rooted Vader.

    Typical pre-cu fight with alot less kneeling then usual..

    The video i posted even has some of that complex pre-cu pvp you lot have been on about. The guy uses a total of THREE macros. You get dizzy just thinking about it.

    I believe he was talking about the particle effects-yes, they look silly and there needs to be an option to turn them off somehow.  If you look on the official forums there are threads asking for that option.

    So they went from Power Kneeling to Euro-Dance fighting?  I agree that there needs to be an option to turn those effects off, but I'm glad the power kneeling is gone.....  (Although my best Combat move was a kneeling shot....)

    Ah, yes. I was talking about the particle effects. I can't comment on the rest of it, as I couldn't take my eyes off the strobe lights.

    Thay'd have gone a LONG way if they made those fruity particle effects toggleable.

    I remember one Dev chat, when asked if they could make those turn off, they responded defensively with some sort of "What? You don't like them, they're KEWL URghey" response.

    Get rid of Jedi and neither set of goofy fight sequences will exist.  Sometimes the simple solutions are most elegant.

    You know why it is that people that want to bash the preCU always show videos from after pub 9? They had already started the process of making the game more iconic and star warsy by adding in the first particle effects, huge fly text damage numbers, buff icons and easy to attain jedi!

    Show me a duel from 8/2003 and it would be a completely different fight.

    Jedi, and everything related to Jedi, has caused more problems in this
    game then ANY other aspect of SWG. It's caused the most whines, the
    most calls for nerfing, they demand the most content, they want to be
    an alpha class, they bring nothing significant to the crafting system
    or the economy, and they signaled the ever-increasing decline of the
    game as an MMORPG. Like Rogue_5 said at the Indianapolis Summit, in
    response to my question about Nancy MacIntyre's "kill, loot, repeat" comments:

    Me- "This is an MMORPG, is it not?"

    Rogue_5- "This is an MMO, I don't know if I'd call it an 'RPG' ".

    Pre cu combat for the win! Why do Jedi and Bounty Hunter need Dance dance revolution effects? Silly and that is the bottom line cause I said so. ::::24::

    If it was hoping to become a copy of WoW then it failed, not saying WoW is the best game out there, or that it does not have its flaws, but it said what it was going to be and thats what it is.  The problem with SOE is it is always saying things like, "I'll bake you a yummy chocolate cake" 3 hrs later  you find its a pile of shit with some icing ontop.

    They cannot stop but lie and pretend that all is well

    and back ontopic,

     I thought those two on the NGE fight were getting it on, thought i was watching some freeky, SWG porn remake, watch it again with some cheesy porn music on top of it and see what efect it has on you.

    Or the only other reason for it, is that they were on a seventies night and had a fight lol

    Franky, the pre-cu combat does look way better.

    Macro's, complexity, etc is a whole other discussion, and rather off topic tbh.
