Theres have been rumores that rune once existed in purple and that it was more powerfull but it was so powerfull that jagex took it out and a second rumor is that at the biggining the characters had to sleep to keep using there powers... thats just wrong anyways a friend of mine told me that i wan know if its true and what happened does days plz whoever has played runescape for a very long time plz post here!

    I played runescape years ago before rune armor even existed, and adam armor was the high end gear... I think that was the name of the armor, the green stuff? I knew nothing about a purple rune (not sure what you are asking). And no I don't remember having to sleep to use our skills. Please keep in mind this was a long long time ago so my memory could be a little foggy. I stopped playing the game long ago.

    yes both of those are true.

    though i don't like/play RS now, or ever will again.

    I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.

    well, there was never purple rune just bluish and about sleeping thing yes they had that in rs classic but not in rs2

    I WAS a long time rs player, I remember having to sleep, dont recall purple rune though

    yes, you had to sleep in sleeping bags (I remember the days.)

    but never such thing as a Purple rune.

    I do not know about the purble armour, but I do know that people slept in sleeping bags in Runescape Classic.(I have a Runescape Classic account)

    i played runescape since 2000 pretty sure that's when they just came out or very close to it.

    there's no such thing as a purple rune sorry to disappoint you  and the fatigue system is still in RSC they used it to stop botters , but instead pissed a bunch of players off

    all armour used to be more powerful,  there was a point where def lvl REQ didn't exsit

    it's ur fatigue % not ur "running energy" there's no running in rsc

    rune never existed in purple and yes players did have to sleep to get fatigue restored ( the fatigure thing was in rsc)

    i've RS for quite a while, in RS classic you had to sleep to re-plenish ure fatigue % but that stopped around 1999-2000 when RS 2 came out since then u have energy which re-plenishes when ure not running or using a pot.But i nvr heard of purple rune exicsting i classic or RS 2

    Jagex though origionally about rune being purple, but they declined.

    The purple rune is true

    a friend of mine played back when it was just rsc and he had the purple rune and everything but i dont think tis was more powerful then the regular rune

    I do not know about the purple rune..but there was fatigue. Fatigue was the stat used for skills like fishing mining ect. Originally you could only restore fatigue by going to a bed..but they made sleeping bags cus of the fishers on karamja (no beds  on f2p karamja (dont know if i wrote it correctly))...yes there was a need to sleep.

    Yes you can do the sleeping bag thing but i dont think you can have the purple rune even back then.
