will there be prostitutes

in Pirates of the Burning Sea

will pirates be able to pillage a city and take a ho or 2 to some bushes and make mini pirates? that'd kick ass, have like a 50% chance of getting aids and perma dying in a couple weeks, then be able to play the mini pirate you created, god damn that would own.

    One can only hope.....Hell, for the purpose of historical continuity, I'd own slaves and hire prostitutes.  Then I'd get drunk at the tavern and puke on my first mate.  Yarrrrr

    Thats not necessarily true...you'd just have to rape monkeys instead of prostitutes :)

    Seriously though, I am kinda disappointed in the lack of land content.  There should be some land fighting available, even if its limited.  Im hoping this will be high priority on their list of expansion ideas.

    Landfighting will come, the decide at the moment if this will be included at the first release (then the release will be pushed back) or it will come with a later update.  But sword fighting will come aswell as drinking rum and get drunken, but this isn't implentet as well at the moment.

    AIDS didn't exactly come from monkeys just fyi that was SIV which became HIV

    SIV being Simian Immunodeficieny Virus then becoming Human Immunoodeficiency Virus

    Though HIV causes AIDS raping monkeys would possibly have no effect on contracting HIV because the virus has to  evolve first, but I don't know I'm not a doctor I'm just the pool guy.

    And thats not bad for a pool guy.

    Although they didnt have AIDS, or any other modern plagues they did have their own such as syphilis and Gonorrhea wich we now have a cure for if caught early enough....

    Syphilis really stands out, not only did it kill millions, it also caused a great deal of pandemonium among the ruling elites of the time as it travels up the nervous system and infects the brain causing madness before death.  fun, fun

    True, but there were a bevy of other STDs that would have killed you just as surely.

    I read a thread suspiciously similar to this one on the Age of Conan forums. If the developers even decide to implement brothels/prostitutes, they'd most likely be only static NPC's for environment enrichment. Sorry, prolly no shanghai-ing them out to sea with you.

    Well, I can't imagine actually doing it with my avatar to another NPC prostitute but it should be an option, perhaps not as in active participation but with some sort of effect on morale or so. I'm for slavetrading too, hell, it would be fun to catch another player, enslave and sell him to some plantage, where he'd have to perhaps murder the landlord to escape somehow, board a ship and and and...

    Don't really approve of pc and pirates. I remember playing Fallout and it was possible to enjoy oneself with whores, possible to capture slaves for gold, kill innocent civilians, all of it added to the flavour of the game and as far as PotBS or AoC etc. are concerned it should be a liable option. (MMO)RPG are a lot about freedom and interactivity in my opinion and simply should give pollitical correctness a secondary importance.

    lol. that'd be awesome. They can do it like GTA style. Hoes can restore your HP or something.

    Greetings folks!

    I'm the Community Manager for Pirates of the Burning Sea.  While we do have harlots as background characters, you will not be able to interact with them. They don't drop loot of any kind, nor will you have the opportunity to explore their wares- in any way. 

    In addition, while the notion of catching some form of digital disease might sound tantalizing to some, that will not be a feature in Pirates of the Burning Sea.

    No, no prostitution. Mainly because they want the rating to be "T" so they get the most money. And because normally you don't go to MMO's for porn. Unless your into anime or somthing, but then you can just go to some anime porn site.
