How long will it take you to reach level 70?

rmeyerrmeyer Member Posts: 151

They said that the leveling will be twice as hard as going from 50-60.  I know some people will be 70 the same day the expansion comes out, but I was wondering how others will enjoy their 60-70 experience.

I'll probably reach level 70 in a good month, 3 weeks.

Well, if you already think that people will be lvl 70 the day the expansion comes out, then you don't have to look far for your answer.

Well, first I'd have to say that I seriously doubt anyone willh it 60 the day the expansion comes out.  The experience curve goes way beyond the increase in EXP you can get, and there will be no way to powerlevel anyone.  At first I was thinking a couple months, but now that I consider a year sounds about right, because I don't think I can play my level 60 :(  He's totally nude with no money and no bags.

Hehe there is always ways to powerlevel. If i take my friends Druid, and Priest and log them in to buff and heal me as i grind thru much higher level mobs than normal I exp much much faster. wont take long to hit 70.

    I don't play WoW

Buuut...my guess is...if they planned it to take 2 months, some resourceful people will get it done in a week.

Ok, I'll explain. I found it funny, how you thought that some people are going to get from lvl 60 to 70 in ONE day. It's impossible to get to 60-70 in ONE day.

There is no way anyone will get from 60-70 in 24 hours of gameplay

I thought they said it would take as long to get from 60 to 70 as it did from 1 to 60.

I think the minimum anyone could do if they played 24/7 would be  a week, with more like a month or two for most fast levelers and 3-4 months for average people. I think /played will have to be somewhere from 7 days to 12 days on average. That is a lot of playing to do in the time you listed in your options.

Or he was hacked... or he decided to quit at some point and gave away all his stuff. I left my character in SWG completely naked when the NGE made me quit for good

You can't do that except cross-faction, because exp drops down to a very small amount when anyone but the smallest help on your own faction.  And as for cross-faction, it really doesn't matter because everyone will be level 60 so there will be no higher level to super-powerlevel you.  It'll would end up being just slightly faster than soloing, and there's still no way to do it in a day.

Actually, that's what happens when you quit the game and come back before your account expires.

It's sarcasm, but yeah somebody will definately grind as fast as they can to 70 in epic time, probably more than a day.  If some people cranked 45 after a week, I would say that somebody will pull it off in 5 days at least.

Truely i think it will take awhile! If your at level 60 now and th XP is around 200,000 its gonna double each time you level.probaly by the time you reach level 70 the XP will be around 3 million. But it also depends on the monsters levels in the continent!

Well, let's see.  I went form level 1 to level 60 in 8 days, and that was at launch when the servers were crashing every 5 minutes and there was absolutely horrendous lag.  So my guess would be if I was still playing, it'd take me about 2 days.

I think we will actually be surprised, and that it will take quite a long time.

  • CrazyfoolCrazyfool Member Posts: 151

I recently started playing WoW again (after quiting about a year go).

I will put money on it that someone will have it capped in 5 days or less. Not to long ago, I read an article about someone that went from 1-60 in 5 days, which is nuts IMO. So if the statement about going from 60-70 will take as long as going from 1-60 is true, there will be a few nutjob's out there that will cap it within a few days.

Well I did 50-60 in about a week... So I'd say 1.5 - 2 weeks for 60-70. Provided I take a lot of time off work, etc. :P I will be wanting to hit 70 as soon as possible, that coupled with the fact no one be able to tear me away from the new instances and such I can see myself doing it pretty fast.

After that it will be back to PvP. :P

Given that nobody has actually leveled past 60 how can you guys even guess how long it will take?  Sure they say its twice has hard, but what does that mean in reality?

Also, given that the new lands are all "world PvP" lands, how can you possibly guess how that will effect your leveling rate which is only a guess anyways?

We don't claim to know for a fact, we are just assuming. It can't hurt anyone. :)
