    They are doing what they think people want. If you left for WOW what do you expect.

    Its actually turning into a kick ass game.

    WoW? Yeah it is pretty decent, it does not pretend to be somthing it is not, while not pissing on or fucking over it's entire player base of 2.5 years or so.

    They also are much larger of a successful operation.   i.e. 193 Servers, some added often and over 6million subscribers over time.

    You can safely say they know how to run thier business... compared to SWG...

     That is very true, but you can also safely say they made a very simple dummied down game for people to play, and based on over 6 million players, that seems to be what the majority of players want. Old SWG, the fun of being able to have so many options open to you, being able to be anyone or anything, it was such a fun enjoyable game, you could sit back and enjoy the possibilities of almost unlimited options, I miss that. Unfortunately WOW proves players like all of us who enjoyed old SWG, are the minority compared to the majority who like a dummied down simplistic playing experience. It is the way many future MMO are going to be made, and that really sucks. Thank you for your time.

    Do you play wow ?

    There's people pissed everywhere in wow.... yesterday was hell... my server was down for about 2 days... at some point, the server was up, allowing new chars in.... and our char list was EMPTY.

    Listen, Isk is SWG vet. Don't you bring in that "whaa, 2 days down" thingy. You're talking to Bria here. We know what pain is.

    Even server troubles in WoW are kiddie stuff, compared to the national export of Bria Lag, the Summer of Forgotten Compensation '05, The Battle of All Battles Hamster Genocide and The Droideka Protests Slaughter.

    I'm just happy we got the upgrade. Zero lag whatsoever. It's beautiful.

    Funny, I was talking to a friend lamenting SWG and 12 people joined in the conversation saying they'd "go back in a second" for a classic server.

    The reason WOW is such a success. Is because it's not only big in the U.S. and Europe , It is big in Asia as well . If SWG was a game like WOW it would be to . Compare Asian MMO's to American MMO's ,Then look at WOW.
    The PVP in WOW  is far to organized . It feels like playing a game like Rakion or Gunz the duel .Picking your fight from a chat lobby and joining in.

     Warcraft/Starcraft are pretty big in asia as well . This also contributes to WOW's success .


    SWG was never big in Asia ,I don't know if this is because of marketing or just plain difference in playstyles . But another example is EVE ,  Sandbox style games don't seem really to sell in asia IMO . Really if you look at it maybe thats what sony is going for now , The asian market . They have been chatting about F2p , Item sale based games .
