..heres the thing im not undertsanding here...all these people saying they hate SWG but then on their signature it says things like "SWG>1000 hours" ive seen that on like 20 ppl so far and im thinking what the f***. your all bitching abou the game yet you have 1000 or 2000 hours spent on it???? Theres obviously something keeping you there so despite all the bad facts about the game wtf is keeping ppl in it? i know its not fanboys because there the ones bitching. Please people anserw that question because i wasted 70$ on EQ2 this weekend becaus people told me not to buy SWG..yet every1 has 1000 hours on it
Edit: 70$...EQ2 and EQ2 90 day game card = 100$

It's a function of the XFire signature. Many people have it who use XFire. It automatically shows your longest played game ever, and also your most played game in the last week. People aren't deliberately putting in in their sigs to boast about it.

Yes, you spelled the word right. But the above highlighted words are either misspelled or have errors in punctuation. I am not flaming, just trying to help...as I am sure that many of my past posts have numerous typographical errors as well.
And I know that there is a good chance you are not a native English speaker, and if that is the case, more power to you. If you are, then shame on you.

Your post suggest that you are not truely familar with the history of this once great game, or else you would know how to answer your own question. But to help out here is some FYI;
SWG can essentially be divided into 3 game [similar concept, different game mechanics]. They are Pre-CU [most feel was the best], CU [most feel it was a blindside hit], and the NGE [most feel is the death blow that is causing a massive slow bleed].
Most of the stats you talk about [from my understanding] are from when most played from launch of the game to the NGE [some may have even tried the NGE before dropping the game]. The are considered Veterans of this once great game, and because they have played for so long they have insight in the game and history of it. They therefore can help put the perception of this game in a better context. It should be noted that there have been a number of request that there be made a distinction between Pre-NGE and the NGE with respect to it's reviews and rating, since they current review and rating is based on a combine total of all games.
Many former player post here to warn and advise about SOE and what this once great game has become. It also appearently a place for group thearpy....lol J/K.
To put it in other terms; you a new army private about to go to war and 2 sergent come to you with advice on how to survive and be a good solider, but they have different views on it. So, all things being equal except for one has survived 2 wars and the other has never been in one. Who are you more likely to listen too? This is another reason why some post their game stats, so other take their views with a little more crediablity as opposed to someone who hasn't played much.

X-Fire records stats. It displayers two values:
- Game time this week
- Total game time
X-Fire is external service, and data cannot be manipulated by the user. Well, not easily at least.
Some people racked tons of SWG time and this will show up as "all-time" until they increase the time spent in another game.
But I think that the only person who's displaying his X-Fire with SWG is Obraik, and he's still playing.
