Would you like to learn to PvP without having millions of Skillpoints?

FarakonFarakon Member Posts: 47

'Agony
Unleashed PvP university will teach you how you can participate
EFFECTIVELY in PvP with as little as a week's worth of training in the
game. You will learn how to destroy those evil pirates threatening your
way of life or fly in a frig fleet that is powerful and effective.

You
don’t need millions of skill points to get into PvP in Eve. A group of
15 well motivated and trained players (the player training, not the
char training) can take out a 30 million skill point, 3 year veteran in
his battleship. Unlike other games, Eve PvP doesn’t require you to
train up your character to get into it. In addition, no matter how long
the player has been in the game, he is never immune such as a level 50
would be immune to a level 10 in DAoC or many other games.

Don’t
listen to the naysayers that say you need millions of skill points.
Don’t listen to the flamers and pirates that say you will fail. They
don't want you to succeed because then it would make thier career much
more difficult if their prey knew how to fight back. Don’t believe the
elitist vetrans that claim you have no chance. Don’t listen to the
uninformed players that say you can only pvp in a battleship. You can
make a difference, you do have a chance and you don’t need a
battleship. Let us show you how!

Hop on over to Agony Unleashed's web site and sign up for a PVP-BASIC class and change your life in Eve.

Click Here to be taken to the Enrollment forum!

You will never want to mine again.

Check out the Video!

WARNING: PvP in Eve Online is highly addictive.

It's been around for awhile, from what I've seen they do a great job training people, and new players get to have a hell of a lot of fun doing it aswell. Hell I'm a 3 year vet and I've considered signing up since it's located in my neck of the woods. My clone costs 16 mill though so I haven't yet.

You get access to the PvP Basic forum once you sign up for
the course.  There you will find the
required reading materials along with the equipment lists.

It’s not a big shocker, however.  Essentially you need a couple of Frigates set
up with some basic ewar gear.

Nothing that a totally new player couldn’t scrape up in a
couple of days of mission running.

The links that Karakaz posted are to our Rules of Engagement and to the course enrollment forum.  The Insta Guide is also available to all on the site. here (You would be shocked how many players have no idea how to set / use instas)

In addition to these resources there are several more articles which we reserved for paying customers.  Among these is the "Outfitting Ships for a Frigate Fleet" article.

For newbies <6 weeks old and can't afford to pay, Eve University does similar classes for free. They have scholarships that actually give you money. 1 mill isk typical for scholarships. I started off with them. Great bunch of guys.

While EVE-U teaches its new members in all the different aspects of EVE, I don't believe there is any other corporation that gives the great quality of training and that has put so much work into a pvp curriculum as Agony Unleashed's PVP-U has. What better place to learn best than in the most dangerous region in EVE (Syndicate) and pvping in the most dangerous pvp-active systems in all of EVE, MHC-R3 and PF-346. They also don't require that students join their corporation to recieve training. Some people sign up for the same class again for the experience and fun factor, even if they don't learn anything new the 2nd time (though thats a rarity). Great group of guys and gals!

Btw, last Sunday's PVP-BASIC class killed 663,088,382 ISK worth of ships and equipment and the last PVP-WOLFPACKS class killed over 1.5 Billion ISK worth of ships and eqiupment. It was a lot of fun!

EDIT: If new players need help comming up with money for a class, I know Agony members will let them fly with them in a few level 3 missions and make the enrollment fee in just a few hours.

I would suggest this be a sticky. I would have loved this when I first started.  A shame for it to be lost several pages back.

also, what is total cost of class?

All information found on their website www.agony-unleashed.com under the pvp university enrollment section of the forums.

Cost for PVP-BASIC is 5m isk. Every student including me thats taken it though has said the experience was worth more than the 5m tuition fee.

Oh I don't really care too much about the clone cost, 16 mill is peanuts to me really and I don't have any serious implants, I'm also pretty short on time atm, but am planning to give it a go once I start playing EVE more regularily again, I'm on a mini-break while my guild tries out EQ2 PVP.

Here's a new video they put out of the 0.0 wolfpack part of the last PVP-BASIC class. Goons On A Bubble

HEHE one of these days I'll probably do this.  Unfortunately it's 18 hops away and I'm still not ready to start an alt... too many necessary skills to train on my main... I may take the time out to head that way eventually once I build my bank up a bit and get a few more skills where I want them to be in the short term, though.

Eh, I run lvl 4 missions 24 jumps away, but as an alumni I still come back to each PVP-BASIC class for the fun factor. Leaving a few frigs in Stac helps too. Its understandable though.

They let their alumni fly in the classes for free too so I'll maybe I'll see you then. Its good fun.

Just wanted to let everyone know, I took the class and found it well worth the time and money. WELL worth the 5 mil.  I have treated every MMorpg as a thesis paper (read everything I can get my hands on), but this class had more info and helped put it all together in a practical working application.

The best part was that you didn’t need to loose expensive ships, the class only utilized T1 frigates (Tristan to be exact) and I got lucky and didn’t die :)

It was amazing to see T2 geared battleships loose to a bunch of T1 gear frigates.  Just doesn’t seem to happen in most MMorpgs (a 2 year player loose to a bunch of 2 month players).

Whether you've been playing for 2 weeks, 2 months, or 2 years, I would suggest that if you have any reservation in going into 0.0 sec space, you should take this class. If you are new, like me, take the class to level the playing field a little.

PvP is so much more fun than mining for $ and CAN be just as profitable (if done right).

Glad to hear you had a good time Lummox.

Keep in touch. I hope to see you in future Wolfpacks (my in
    game name is Diocles).

Isn't that the truth though? I'm hooked on PvP and have found several Cov Ops cloaking devices and much T2 equipment from pvpers that have sold nicely ;)

Props to whoever created thier new website. Looks great! I'll have to sign up for that new PVP-ADVANCED class their now offering if its anything like the first 2 classes were. =)

  • NatEVENatEVE Member Posts: 92
Took their first PVP-ADVANCED class and it was great. We divided up into organized groups to execute surgical strikes on enemies and even took turns leading our gangs. Learned that PVP also has an aspect of psychological warfare behind it and how to use that to my advantage. Great fun as always Agony and props to Rells for the great course. image
