Tell me there is housing at least in Lotr Online

in Lord of the Rings Online
Someone tell me there will be housing in this game, or have they gone completely ape shit at Turbine..If this is another DDO I'm gonna puke...........

    Yep - there will be housing.But to what extent and how it will be implemented is unknown. There is talk of instanced housing like in EQ2 or only kinship housing. Devs are very silent on that topic atm.

    LOTRO is not gonna be like DDO

    The only thing to do in DDO is questing and questing. There is too many instances, cant even run in open landscape and exploring , no loot on monsters, no crafting. after doing the same quest 10 times the XP is 0, and the quest rewards is is a joke as well. I played DDO the first 4 month and quit, DDO is fun if you playing with friends 1-2 times a week.

    Dont worry, LOTRO gonna be a real MMO game, with housing as well.

    There will likely not be housing at release, but it is certainly something the devs are working on in a way to make it lore appropriate (so it doesn't end up with SWG type scattered sprawl).

    Housing is a must in a game based in Middle-earth, being that the inhabbitants take their homes very seriously. So, since Turbine is taking the lore very seriously then I would assume, with out a doubt, that in the game somewhere there will be player housing.

    Houses wont be in at release, last I heard was that it will come in a expansion (possible Rohan) along with Kinship halls (guild halls)

    I read that somewhere, can't remember where tho

    if it were instanced houses... how/could you invite people in them? Say you had to join a party or something for that other person to enter your house or something?

    Could be done like DAoC where the homeowner keeps an online list of who is permitted into his instance.

    However my information says housing will not be in at launch, and they appear to be willing to discuss Kinship (Guild) houses at this time.

    I would be surprised if there isn't housing introduced at some point.

    The devs have said there will be no housing at launch.  I bet they wait to see how WoW incoporates housing to see if it works.  No one wants disaterous housing like SWG, but no one instanced housing like EQ.  I say they just open up a Hobbiton Hostel and hold PvP events for the best blanket
