Uhh no ... Once you done everything in the game not even a good guild can make you stay.

Naw, it just means you wait for the next patch. lol

Professor Hubert Farnsworth - That question is less stupid but, you asked it in a profoundly stupid way.

Another good reason to leave WoW in the near future    ---> imho <---

Have a look at the ---->>"IGN (Best video!)
By far the best video from E3 this year. This is a fairly high res, good quality video of what was shown in the "back room" at E3. Almost all of it is ingame holyness, so enjoy!"

its 170mb but BELIEVE ME its worth's it all they way xD

How ture!!! doing the same thing over and over get very boring! only thing left to do is farm and that is boring too!

I was in a good guild that imploded because half the people wanted to raid and the other half didn't so ... may it isn't so simple.  Didn't matter for me though, I hadn't gotten so sick of the bad PvP that I had already started to play Guild Wars before the blow up happened.  I logged back on after 3 weeks with a 2 week old raid invite and half the guild gone.  Not that I was surprised I knew people's ambitions would cause them to leave that smaller guild.  I knew it was probably doomed from the start.

It was one of the reasons I would never have bought this game if they had been honest about not being like EQ.  Instead they did the bait and switch and I bought it because the game seemed to not allow things to get out of control and blizzard seemed to be trying to be reasonable.  As soon as  I realized they lied I knew my guild was doomed.  I knew that ambition/item greed combined with lack of logistic leadership would eventually boil into a break up.  I could have whipped the guild into a good raiding guild but I hate raiding so I didn't.  PvP was worthles by that time, the only alliance team that queued up was the WSG double askhandi farm team.  Playing them 10 times in a row in one day was enough to show the stark reality of just how bad WoW's PvP was.  Occasionally I would get stuck in with the Horde farm team, those guys would ignore me and not invite me to a raid and then tell me to heal them.  Yeah sure goto hell I got more kills than the HWL with my feral druid that match and you think I'm gonna heal and be your honor bitch?

Game was fun for a while but I left the game feeling disgusted.  Everything I purposely avoided and WoW promised not to do got implemented into it.  I wish I had just done all there was I wanted to do and left I woulda been fine with that.  But the way it turned into what it is now was kind of a bitter pill.  Partly because it disgusts me, partly because I feel like they lied, partly because the people in my guild didn't quite seem to understand what the raid incentivization winds up doing to them and the people they know.

No! Only come to EQ II if you can act more mature than the people do in WoW, we got enough immature crossovers as it is.

I levelled 3 to 60, and just couldn't stand running MC several times a week for several hours at a stretch for months on end.

There are several very promising looking games in development. I've personally settled on Fallen Earth as my favourite, but there are several others (eg. Divergence) which also look to offer a new experience for mmo'ers.

Yeah World of Raid-Grind did get dull rather quick.  Problem is Blizzard is known for taking their sweet time releasing products.  That is fine for a game like Diablo or Warcraft III, but a MMOG needs a bit faster expansions than that.

Not to the ridiculous point that SOE does it, spam out expansions to distract people from the bugs, broken quests and general mess the last expansion made.

They need to give people stuff to do that isn't Raid or PvP.  If you think about it, what non-raid non-pvp content have they added?  Dire Maul that's it and it's geared for the 60's.  Yet there are several raid dungeons, 3 battlegrounds and now outdoor pvp objectives.  If someone plays on a normal (pve) server, you would think they would get the point that "hmm, these people must not want to pvp 24/7" right?

Burning Crusade isn't going to help either.  By having the flying mounts require lvl 70, they are essentially adding a time sink to prevent you from rushing to endgame content A-La SOE's strategy with expansions like Planes of Power or Gates of Discord.  Adding paladins to horde and shamans to alliance has also ticked off a lot of players who feel the faction identity is lost now, only difference between Alliance & Horde is now strictly cosmetic.  That was Blizzard being lazy and adding a "new" class without actually having to design one.

Too bad, WoW was hella fun for a long time....

    /mourn good ol' days

Count me in as one of those who got bored with WoW. I just cancelled my subscription today. Well, I had lots of fun leveling up and although I could say much bad about what comes after that, I'd rather leave it at that. It was fun while it lasted and to me, that's what gaming is about. I'd probably come back if they made the endgame less raid, PvP or rep grind oriented, but I don't see that happening. They got millions of subscribers still and the current endgame formula seems to be working for a lot of people, so why mess around with it? Plenty of other MMOs around and many more to come. For those of you sticking with WoW, have fun and may the gods of epic droppings be with you... eh... uh... that somehow didn't sound right... oh well, good luck anyway

I'm a big ol' fluffy carewolf. Be afraid. Be very afraid.

I think WoW is an incredible game with lots of content, features, items, etc., but most of us had already played EQ, UO, AC, DAoC, and dozens of other MMORPGS before WoW, so it's really just more of the same.  I got bored of WoW much faster than EQ, although I barely saw any of EQ and almost all of WoW.  Our gamer brains just want something new.  Maybe spore will be something like that, maybe not.

I went from WoW to CoH and then to EQ2, and while both of those games are fun, polished, and have lots to do, it only takes me a couple months to be bored of them, too.

    MMORPGs are virtual skinner boxes.

Spore is an mmo? I thought it was a strategy game.

But there are several promising mmos in development, eg. Divergence and Fallen Earth. Probably others too but I only have so many hours in the day to follow them all... I quite liked the look of LOTR online when it was first announced, but when it was bought out by the new developers they abandoned most of the features I was looking forward to.
