Yea,I drink my java when I get up each day an read forums.I dont just come here tho.But the thing I cant understand at MMORPG.com is why there are so many losers that post in game forums when they dont play the game.
I meen,sure come here to ask something,or just read.But why post crap that just makes me shake my head?
Theres a few that post in this RV forum alot that dont play this game,.In fact it seems like they hate the game,and every chance they get they try to remind us of possible bad points the game may have.
why do you do this?
will it make you feel good if the game just shuts down?
why are you not posting in the game forum of the games your playing?
And yes Jorev Im talking about you,.Your all about this "no gold" idea,and I must agree that it can ruin a game,But that would be in a game "you" like ,. a game that "your" playing,.RV has a plan for this problem an it has nothing to do with you or your games balance issues.
We all hope this dam game gets up off its knee's,its really not all that bad once ya get going in it.Its clear that it cant hold players that well,.but there progrestion is consistant,and theres been alot of games that had real bad starts like this with lag an bugs,but RV really needs to start to add newbie content,.that I must admit is lacking.

I agree with you in that it is strange how people post against a certain game when they don't play it.
I can't imagine myself going and criticizing WoW in their forums because I feel that their game is a soulless revenue chasing cliche.
However, strange as it may be, everyone has a right to come and bash or talk up RV, whether they play it or not.
I think Jorev is a special case though. I think deep down he likes the idea of Roma-Victor, he probably followed the development for a while and got excited at the list of game features. But when the controversial VERM was announced, and the game was released prematurely, he coudn't take it anymore and became a bitter critic of RV.
Poor guy.
The forums are full of false promises from devs and lies from fanbois.
I feel ripped € 25 .. no refund for me since i was in beta.

lol.well lets hope after all there is no monthly as you always pointed out and i find that this is the best game around espically if the newer games turn out to be a dissapointment i might give RV another look in a few months time which like i always said when it might turn from what it is now ,a product not out of alpha, to something that resembles a final release.Lets see anything is possible.
I am going to take the fools errand and try to answer some of your questions and correct some of your comments:

In what way were you suckerd? The screen shots were posted, there was discription of gameplay, ect. How exactly were you decived?
My question is, why do people keep supporting this game?
Because I enjoy the free form gameplay, the subject matter and the challange.
I'm between games. Looking for a place to call home and thought Roma Victor was it. I was wrong.
I suspect that RV was the game you projected alot of hopes and dreams on, and built it up in your mind into more than it is...
No game has been this bad. Ever.
Nice hyperbole...all I can say is, you must not get out much. I can name 2 MMO's off the top of my head that had way worse launches than RV.

Unfortunately, I can't rate the game how I feel about it because I am new here. (You need at least 5 rating, you start at 1) It's kind of ironic how MMORPG put me onto the game, I played it, found it in bad shape and now I can't express my opinion without someone coming on here and flaming me for not agreeing with them. It's also ironic that I wouldn't even be here today if I weren't still waiting for my refund. I'm not the one shooting Red Bedlam in the foot, I'm merely aiming the gun for them to shoot themselves in the foot. If I had been given a refund, I most likely would have forgotten about this game by now and moved on.
I only wish I could rate it, and try to help those that might be on the edge of a purchase make an informed choice. I would give the community a WAY lower score because of all the general
distaste of fanboy posts trying to belittle everyone that would speak
wrong of the game.

Dude, you need a thicker skin if you are going to play on the internet. Nobody is saying you are an a-hole...at best, you are being called misinformed. The community in this game is one of the best I have encountered...if you had asked about your ax, for example...you would have gotten it fixed before it broke.
Your type of player doesn't help matters. You assume people must bend over backwards and accept your methods, when in fact it only helps to steer people away. "you need a thicker skin if you are going to play on the internet" ?? WTF. I think it is you who must learn the way of the world. By that one phrase, you have identified that you are an immature person. I could care less how old you are. Maturity isn't measured in years. In a way, I'm glad you post on these forums so people can see the type of "community" they are getting into. It's no wonder the world is the way it is.
Kanoth replied to a similar complaint of no refund response.
You will not recieve a refund if you have used /topup. This is written in the Eula in the Redbedlam folder. I am not 100% sure but as far as I know that is hte only thing that will stop you from getting a refund. If you have issues with your refund then PM Kanoth and he will get it straightend out.
Andir...about the type of community and we are and hte tyoe of PR RBL has, you are so far wrong I think you have your head stuck where the sun don't shine. Most people who make RBL/RV hate posts usually get slammed very quickly on the RV forums.

Actually this is something a bit debateable.
Now lets talk about refunds.Normally players just don't scream as much as in RV for refunds.I saw much more posts asking for a refund in RV then i did in EQ2 .Considering EQ2 sold well over 200k copies in the first month and RV would have sold 5k(considering they are still taking orders and the limit is suppose to be capped) and maybe even lower.
Thats by percentage is a high number.So unlike some fans(not you mate) have been trying to put it that people bought the game to find out its not their playstyle its more to do with it been very unfinished and basically faulty .
mmorpg crowd are used to bad launch(probably not as bad as this) and unfinished products so they just don't spam for refunds.
Ok that part cleared up on to the /topup.Like i said this is sort of debateable.Lots of people probably used /topup to get going in the game initally.It is pretty hard to escape that escpically when you are new.
I seen a post somewhere on offical forum about not refunding those that used /topup NO matter the amount because it might be a way of people buying multiple accounts and asking for refunds.
I think its easy to sort this.First off i am sure most who are affected never topped up more then £5 at best .I highly doubt anyone would go around paying £20 to go thru the stress of cancelling and the pay another £20 to make £5.I think if they did this alone it would probably sort most people out.
From the people i heard in such situation i spoken to 3 or 4 .And none said they took more then 1k .

You mean bottom of the rank ratings .its 82nd out of about 109 games.Just below astonia 3 and just above tibia.
Also remember initally there were no mag reviews(and even now few such reviews) and the ratings took a couple of weeks to kick in as it needed 50 votes or so.There was only the words of people like sempiternal who painted an amazing and yes near flawless picture RV which ultimately did it more harm then good.
