Where DO you guys come up with your release dates??

Where DO you guys get your game release date estimates???  Really…where?<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Example:  UXO – First you had Feb 2004, and then you switched it to April 2004, now you changed it to Sept 2004.

I realize that it is pure speculation when a game is going to make release date, but do you get these dates from the marketing reps of the software company or do you guess, or both??

I think they usually use developer estimates, but they probably rely on retail store dates, which are usually totally wrong :) (EB being one)

I agree with Thoemse. Release date may depend on everything but people like us are always waiting... image

Believe it or not, they come from the company making the mmorpgs. Go to Amazon.com and check out some future mmorpgs.  Virtually every single one of them has a release date

People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

Most of the time you'll find an approximate release date on a games official website, usually a month, quarter of the year or season. They only usually have specific dates when it's very close.
