Hostile Space

Hostile Space is a persistent galaxy online where you command a space captain through a classic RPG style leveling system.

The game was recently added to the MMORPG.com list of online RPGs, and I just want to give you guys a little information about the game to possibly entice you into playing.

Hostile Space is a space based game centered around killing aliens in other solar systems and taking down bosses with entire fleets of commanders.

First, I'll start with the not so appealing aspects of the game.  The graphics are 2D, and pretty outdated.  The game is in "final stage", but it definitely has a lot to be worked on bug-wise.  Although class balacing hasn't been completely worked out, you will enjoy any class you pick, as there is plenty of variety to keep you entertained.

Now the good...  This game is addictive.  I don't play many RPGs, so maybe my voice doesn't really speak out here, but I have grown to love this game.  The community is great, and there is a great diversity in players.  The gameplay is excellent.  Easy cntrols and the characteristic of RPGs "shoot everything that moves" idealogy hold true.  The game offers 75 levels of fun, and at the end allows you to tier (change classes, start over at lvl1, get extra stat points, and still keep your equipment).  There is a place here for all styles of gameplay, from warriors, to mages, to crafters.

The download is free and small, and I hope you all try it out.  Thanks for your time.

    I may be out of line but I feel like I have to get this off my chest . . . Thanks for the post about this game, I never would have heard of it.  I know you are doing well by informing us of the game, but to be honest, for me, anyway, I couldn't play a 2D MMORPG ever again.  You could deliver it to me and hand it over for free, with a personalized note from J.R.R Tolkien himself saying PLAY THIS MMORPG about Middle Earth, I MADE IT FOR YOU, and if I saw 2D graphics I wouldn't think about trying it out.  That is just how shallow I have become, and todays excellent graphics technology has made me that way . . .   but seriously it is good that these posts get up here for others to check out and try the game.

    Wow, heres an old one. Did testing on this, I enjoyed it...going to check it out again, and recommend it to others ;)

    I'm sure that this game has one of the best gameplay and now day games should learn from games like this one but graphics is defenetly out of date and aint going anyway.

    is there PvP in this game?  I can't find too much info on their site about the actual game play.  Kind of interesting.  It looks like a 2d version of EB...let's just hope the gameplay isn't like EB.

    Yes, there is. One server has less PvP as far as I know
