But apparently you can't see those that can't see you. Interesting how this is going to work, but at least mages can sortof get a jump on other players.

If Mages would get that they would be hopelessly overpowered. A mage with stealth They can see invisible units, and units that can spot invisible units. My guess this is a way for a Mage to deal with a stealthed rogue or a druid.
Looks like they had to release those talents. I think they where leaked a few days ago.
Rogues have great new spells/talents. Paladins look a bit crap. Mages look good with invis and a possible pet. Shaman spells I think they'll be pleased with(bloodlust and pet), the talents seem to boost PvE more. Warrior's looks ok. Not sure about the warlock one.
As I recall mages originally had an invisibility power which was removed prior to launch. It was allowing them to get into areas of the game no player should have been able to access. It didn't have the proposed limitation of this new version, with not being able to see players who can't see you - though even that's not much of a negative if you're travelling with others.

Originally posted by Flaeb invis isn't really gonna be that good, the duration is small with a long cooldown, but hey i would like to see how it turns out though
Well it might end up being pretty cool, and I'll explain. If you can only see somebody who can see you, that means that you can turn invisible, then move toward the area where you thought they were at and then maybe at some point there they can detect you and then you can see them and blast the hell out of them.
Don't you guys understand that this Invisibility that mages get is just so they don't get 1-2 hitted, they only got it to escape. You can't use it to gank people, can only see other mages this wont make mages overpowered.

Yes mages did have invis and it was removed much to the disappointment of many future mages.
I know several guild mages who will jump for joy when they hear they get invis. Personally I don't think it's a big deal...it won't unbalance anything. The limitation is pretty interesting and I'm curious as the the uses. Quite honestly, mages with an invis spell makes sense...why they haven't implemented it sooner does not.

That would be stealth .

Stealth isn't invisibility.
