Ya i am sure DF want's to copy things from the game that can only be described as "a text book example of how not to make a mmorpg."
I don't want to sound harsh, but anyone cheering on ToC at this point and actually believing it themselves, has to be extremely naive or incredibly dimwitted - or just sadly uninformed.

Rumours of 'Finish Him!' being called during said finishing move execution and possible ninja suits with yellow,blue,green and grey colours available as armors in ToC are unconfirmed.
Threshold Digital owns the rights to it (or something). No wonder there haven't been any good MK games out recently.

WoW stole all kinds of things from every other MMO... who's bashing them? Every MMO copies another... what about Ultima and Everquest? Shouldn't everyone love those games and bash all the others for copying them?
I think the ToC people are just jealous that their game isn't all that great compared to what DF might be if it's ever finished.

This topic is so meaningless, darkfall has several issues but "stealing ideas"? Thats how 98% of all mmorpg:s can summed up.

OMG LOL, I was looking for the 'video' of the ToC finishing moves, but the thread was gone, so I browsed the forums and found this gem:

Now, let me re-write part of that quote for Colton, so its a bit more honest (changes/additions in bold/underline):

Of course, in a later thread, they've changed their minds:

Whoever is actually going to 'publish' their game. Most developers don't publish the game, they just make it and some other company puts it out to market. So who knows, maybe its SoE. :P (tho I doubt it)

I can see it going something like this:

PFMPP: it seems too violent to reach a wide audience
Colton: I'll make it carebear! No finishing moves either
PFMPP: Oh, well this is somewhat embarassing.....we really aren't interested. I just had to say something

There's also LAS who can't tell us what qualifying credentials they have to consider themselves "pro developers".
Oh, and they turned over a written list of their main team to MMORPG.COM as proof the old devs were nowhere around. Can't falsify paper, right?
I am having so much fun with these losers. They should keep me well entertained until DnL, Divergence, or MMOcenter screw up again.
