EA is no good. . .the majority of their games out there barely even make medicore for me. . .plus with them buying out ever compnay and ruining their games is top priority on their list. At least DAoC saw it's glory day, WAR probably won't even have his. Sucks, this game looked not bad.

Well this can be good or bad or nothing how the hell do we know? No one knows and if your'e saying you know STFU you don't you are not a worker in the comany or an industry veteran either. Ea knows they have dropped the MMORPG ball and really want a successful shafe of the mmorpg market. They are going to let Mythic make the game the way it should be made.
I think people need to stop yeiing the sky is falling. The game will be fine. If you chose not to play because of EA - more power to you. I am prepared to give them the benefit of the doubt.
i say that when ea gets a hold on war its just gonna suck so bad........and as someone said it will be waterdown after a while.....hope that i can be proved wrong.....
In general and in my opinion its a bad move. EA is only interested in one thing. Profit. the best games have come from companies that knew profit would follow if they made a good game. DAOC was an example. As long as EA just keeps Mythic on their current course and lets them make the game it has some potential.
I fear though that it will turn into another BF1942 (great game) that degenerates into BFV then BF2 (which could be good if it weren't for the serious number of bugs and the ranked server issues.)
I hope Mythic can keep true and push out another great MMO. I look forward to seeing if they can, but I have fears now that EA bought it.

Same here mate! That's exactly what i'm fearing too, and i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks the BF games kept going downhill... although i have to admit, BF2142 seems to have caught my attention.

Well, I never was able to play BF2 thanks to the "helpful Patches" and they changed the system requirements. But since WAR is purely a Mythic run game. I highly doubt for a wile we'll have to deal with EA's poking its head in. (I'm thinking about 6months after release IF and only IF EA decides to touch WAR for themselves.)
Though I'm pretty sure we've discussed the EA deal to death when EA actually acquired Mythic. I mean if its still a concern to people without EA actually touching the game then they should really let it go until that day happens.

just how much influence does the producers have?
From EA perspective. they realize they suck at making MMOs and decide to go shopping for a upcomming title to get them a chunk of the market.
From Mythic perspective, they need a serious backing to compete with WoW, even if there is a lot of ppl getting disgruntled with WoW
From Gw perspective, they know mythic got the backing finansial to make the game a success.
the future will however tell how much the will inpact on how mythics does it business and how the game will evolve.
for most parts i think it will be a win win situation. EA wins since they cannot do this themselves, Mythic wins since they get the finansial backing.
