    It's also a reality of software engineering. The business side at least.

    If a bug cannot be fixed by a coder in under 2 hours (1-2 weeks management time), then it'll be left in, since it's considered too difficult.

    This is why many companies aimed at future have decided to replace this type of management and put more faith into engineers.

    In majority of cases this type of bugs and issues can be traced to management and sales snafus anyway.

    That would make:
    PHB = Smed himself
    Julio = Dogbert
    Wally = Helios
    Elbonians = CSR

    And I guess chrysalis could pass as Dilbert. He doesn't really show in public much, and comes through as one of the coders actually doing the grunt work.
