Question to the Beta key winners

in Lord of the Rings Online
I always worry when involved in a closed beta that one or more professions will not get tested properly because of people playstyle preferences. I really want this to be a good game and dont want to be hit with a nerf bat in a month or two because one or more profesions were ignored in beta. In short i'm wondering if we will be spread out between all the character types.

Personally i'm thinking of starting with a Human Champion.

    I don't know hmmm....im thinking either Hobbit Burglar (always playing stealth classes )  or Elf Lore-Master...most likely Lore-Master

    When i get in to beta i will more than likely test all the differant classes. It is for testing and so that is what i will do. When the game releases though my main character will be an elven hunter.

    If possible, I'll try for everything.

    I'm one of those people who beta a game not for the free play, but to actually beta the game. So hopefully people like me will make the game better ;)

    Oh man! you messed up my theory:  Based on responces from these boards I hypothesized that the people who didnt get into the beta were the only ones who would acually test the game...the rest of us -the winners- were only playing for uber lewt.

    Higher level content and skills need to be tested also. I personally try to limit myself to no more than 2 beta characters and play them around 70%/30%. It usually works out well for me. Now i just need a game to stick with after i do the work of beta testing it

    I always play a rogue class, so I'll probably be a burglar. As far as the race goes, it depends on which one looks the coolest.

    Whenever I have beta tested in the past, i make sure I try every race and class that is playable in the beta.
    The same goes with crafting if it is available. I try to take beta testing seriously and not as a chance to preview a game. Of course you have to play it to beta test it, but the whole point is to find bugs or provide the company with feedback as to what works well and what doesn't.

    Maybe there should be a thread of: Please try is in beta for the beta testers. However people will be bound by the NDA not to release the outcome of that test.

    Well I am thinking Elven Hunter or Champion , or Dwarven Guardian.

    I cant play all day every day so I think my Time will be best served by focusing on 2 or 3 characters to try and push things a bit.

    well i always find that if u want to get the best exp in a mmo try EVERYTHING. Dont rely on others do do what u want to know. Make mulitple toons just to cover everything if or worried it might get missed

    Very good point.  I am partial to dwarfs, but I will level all the classes to a reasonable low level to see which playstyle is most fun for me.  I will probably stay away from burglers and hunters because I feel they will be the post populous classes.  But I will still try them.

    Same.  Though I have to admit getting to play the game and see what it's like for free is a nice bonus :)

    lol i have to agree with ya Elnator playing/testing a game to see whats its like before u fork out 50 Bucks sounds good to me lol but also test the game so it will be good so u will fork out 50 Bucks
