ok i used to play on bria and pre nge and then i played nge for a month and got bored and quit but im thinking of going back to it can any one tell me the server pop or what its like so i can make up my mind and i dunno if 9 months makes me a vet but i played along time pre nge

Those here, that think the game is okay, are satisfied with the lag, the bugs, and the lack of a working GCW to name a few things wrong. Also, did you like the 34 player classes that you could template? Well, forget that. YOu can choose from 9 character types that more or less have the same ability.
So, if you want to play an MMO, I would honestly find a different one.

And no. They didn't fix the servers. Turns out the lag was caused by players. So they found it easier to fix that.
But if you have fond memories of Bria being the largest server and all that. It's still the largest. But you'll be, well, surprised.
Other than that, go make up your own mind.
The servers are barren. This is ironic in that it matches the IQs of those running SWG. You push PvP with Restuss, then unbalance it totally by making Jedi ridiculously powerful. What else should I have expected from SOE?
This latest decision to "phase in" expertise, Jedi first of course, has caused the closure of one of my accounts. The other will probably follow 2 days after Smuggler expertise hits. If they don't impress me greatly, and I suspect they won't, my second account will close as well.
Though I don't really like it I've gone back to WoW. At least I can respect Blizzazrd and the product is finished so I don't have to pay to play a beta - AGAIN!

Being a old timer from there... I can tell you that most of the old Vets are gone... few are still there, but it's more of a giant chat for them.
Very few people that enjoyed the game back then are still around.
On the flipside, the game is so buggy and easy now that you can have a few mill in a few days, be a Jedi, do everything you always wanted to do in about 3 days.
However odds are you will be doing it alone.

Review: combat targeting is better, expertise is so so. All in all better than when the NGE started, not nearly good enough to hold my intrest. SWG:NGE is dull and bland.

While I do not know what the sub numbers are, people just do not spend the same amount of time online anymore. So, 100k spending 2 hours a week online would appear less than 50k spending 20 hours a week online.
