Umm, correction on that.....Laghaim was Thai when it first came out. I played it around the time it first came out. They were just getting their english site together but only had the first page translated, lol. There were only about 5-15 english speaking players on their forum and even less actually playing the game. I assumed that I was the only American person on the forum because when I post on their forum, they were very suprised that someone from the US was playing or even heard of Laghaim.
Their Admin translated important things that the people were saying and gave me a lot of tips on what to do in the game. I felt like a star when I played because most knew who I was from the forum and they still couldn't believe it had reached the US. They constantly asked, "You true from american????", lol, I thought it was funny but obviously it meant a lot to them. The only drawback at that time I was playing, was that the game servers were up for 11hr periods which was 7pm-6am for me. I didn't get in the house until 10pm and was tired so I would take a nap until about 1-2am and then play until servers closed.
Laghaim was rather fun until more english speaking people started joining the game. Then hella ksing and arguements came. Quite a few of the Thai "friends" I made in-game left because they didn't like the behaviour of the new people. I wouldn't play SE or Bio if someone paid me to. I can imagine how the community is on there. But I will say one thing, Laghaim was a.....interesting game, lol, and I would recommend people to try its counterparts (Se and Bio) if you want variety in your basic Hack&Slash game.
(Note: I might be wrong in calling it a Hack&Slash but I didn't think their futile, and often frustrating, attempts at the four quests they had, counted as a RPG. Like I said, I could be wrong.)
Hmmm, for some reason my previous post didn't come up after pressing the button. Anyway, I apologized for saying Shimi was wrong. I don't feel like retyping everything that was in that post, lol, so I will leave it at that.
