Please tell the beta winners something

in Lord of the Rings Online

First: its not a breach of the NDA to say you're a beta winner as MMORPG has clearly posted who the confirmed/pending winners are on the site.

Second: It would be nice to know if we should be checking our email 1-2 times over the next few days or if we should wait 4-5 months.

 I realize you might not have all the answers but please give us some indication as to what do to here. Days? Weeks? Months?

Thanks, and thanks for the opportunity to enter a contest - I've never won something before :P

    Here here. I'm grateful to win, most definately. But I have no clue whats happening or will happen. No one has said anything and the winniing email/private message said almost nothing.

    What do we do now? How's this going to work?

    when all the tickets are claimed,still five to go, you should receive an email from mmorpg.com with a VIP code, this code gets entered into your beta app and when it gets to the closed beta stage for contest winners you will automaticallly be sent an e-mail from turbine lettign you into beta, beta hasnt began yet but should some time soon(sept/oct).

    As the poster mentioned above I think we have to wait till all tickets are claimed. Then we'll see what happens. I personally think they should at least let us know what the procedure is in this case.

    Thanks for the contest - i think it helps the game and its developers.

    My bet is that The winners will get in at the last wave for fine tuning.  Especially since most, if not all the winners names are somewhat already known.  That is, if announcing status is against the nda.

    Just a thought, what would I know - I'm just a plumber...

    Once all the winners have confirmed their ticket, mmorpg will send the list to Turbine. Then Turbine will send us the email containing all the necessary information.

    Theres alot in life other than just itching for this beta, just wait patiently and have your mind set on other things that wieght more upon importance, like your health - excerise daily and workout everyother day and buy a boat.

    Has it really? Where? Other forums? Well tough. This is the first time I've ever had a beta key and no one has ever told me how it works on THIS site, not even MMORPG.com.  Though I do know how it works on Turbines. I did a search for the topic and found so many threads about beta that it wasn't worth sifting through.

    Then you actually have the gaul to call me childish? Bite me. I guess you're supposed to be one of the mature ones, right? lol. Want to get into a name calling match like a little child? Or can you be mature enough to grow up before our very eyes?

    Hopefully we will get the code and info letter telling us what to do next. Still can't believe it has taken this long to get 198 people to confirm for their beta keys.

    I was just stating the obvious, that people are impatient thus proven thru countless posts about regarding this, and most are whines thus "the like little children" comparison, because children whine when they are impatient.

    And impatient = immature? I'm not American, English nor from any English speaking origin so immature might mean impatient... But I doubt it.

    And Moirae, I did not call anyone any names in this thread, you must be rather tense thinking everything that's written is directed towards you.

    Just wait and you'll get the information about the beta soon enough, it gives one the illusion that people think they achieved a victory when it's just a drawing and that's why people get all testy.

    Impatience or not I think everyone is excited about getting into this beta.  Young or old LOTR is a popular setting that a lot of people are familar with either by reading the books or watching the movies.  I think the winners have a right to know what's going on.  Some people have been waiting for this game for a long time.  Cut em some slack please.

    They posted the final alpha journals on the official forums today and said alpha is drawing to a close and beta is approaching. How can we who won not be inpatient. After three years of following this game I would say alot of us have been very patient.

    I just want my beta key so i can enter it were it needs to be entered and then i will wait to be let in.

    The only one being immature here sir, is you. Please re-read the subject and orignal post in this thread.   While many have provided varying degrees of information, at the time of this post there was no formal information provided in formal channels from MMORPG.  Although you and many others had plenty of insight as to what action we should take or not take, some of us were left with a feeling that we won "now what".

    The thread was a polite attempt to solicit formal response but invariably it stirs up trolling responses such as yours.

    To those that posted useful and meaningful information. and to those that issued more formal responses: thank you.

    Same hehe, I'm patiently awaiting for a response from them but I can understand why people want to hear something. Just to make sure they didn't miss doing something or having to go to a website.

    Letting people in the dark like this gets em scared about losing the BETA because something went wrong on their end.

    I e-mailed support and they answered me. This is what they said.

    Hello,


     

    Turbine will contact winners with more information at a later time.  We don’t know exactly when this will be…but it should be within 2-4 weeks.  I think they are still technically in Alpha testing and have not started the Beta phase yet.
