I am new to COV and can say i am really injoying the game alot. Granted its the same thing over and over again with insta zones but hey that means that there are less ppl around for your comp to read.
But can someone tell me just why is it that this if the first mmo i have come accros where there are so meny flakes? I mean u make a grp and invite ppl who want in but then they leave in a mater of minutes, sometimes even befor u enter a mission? and they dont even say a thing about leavin they just do
I know that COV has a problem with ppl gettin dc'ed but what happended to common curtasy and lettin the grp know ya need to go so they cam recruit a replacment or even finding your own replacement? I donno maby its just me or all thous yrs in EQ 1-2. BUt was just currious

It just seems to be that way in all Instance games.
GW is famous for that - and you can run 1 hour mission and than suddenly your tank pops out
DDO will drive you nuts.
COX is there somwhere
It is all just because the mmo players have gotten this way, EQ days are long past and you have a lot of kiddies at your hands now.
Best way to be sure people will not flake is :
You form the group. Try talking with group members - If you dont get response from someone or only response is "LOL" or "ROFL" - they are flakers - kick them

I think it's slightly worse on CoH and CoV just because the game is a little more flexible. Like I found that kind of thing happened in WoW sometimes, but given instances don't scale up or down to match team size and you HAVE to group to get through them and most of the good loot is in instances and the instances are fairly long... it motivates people to stay with it. Right up until they get the drop they want, at least.
I made use of the friends list in CoH more than any other mmo I've played because of this. You reach a certain point where you rarely have to team up with strangers which takes care of this problem.
