Hello, I have been hanging around at this place for a while. Finally signed up.

I was wondering if anyone here frequently plays RuneScape. I have been playing it for three years and I think it's a great game. The new version that is coming out soon is very cool.

Just a recommendation for you....try out one of the MMO's that you actually have to pay for. Believe me, they are worth it. If you think runescape is good, then any of these other games will be amazing to you.

If you are Runescape fan you should try Another World I'm sure you will like it. btw many RS players playing it so I think you will find what you are looking for.

Another World isn't that bad I guess. One step above runescape but still a lot worse than other games out there right now.

Well, I'm not gonna quit RuneScape.

I have too much related to that game. I moderate one of the largest fansites for the game, and I also am on the staff on an upcoming fansite for the game. I also enjoy it a lot.

As for another world. I dont feel like trying that. I would rather play some game based in the medivil times.

I'm not telling you to quit it, I'm just recommending that you try some of the other games out there. Once you do, you will be amazed at how far they have come.

I agree with Yordo, if you got fast PC and good internet connection, why not try new better games? Try for example AC2. They got free trial, I think you wont be dissapointed.

hey guys if the man likes the game then let him sty, there is no reason for him to leave it if he finds it fun, some of ppl here mite not like runescape of they find that alot of other games are alot better then runescape, but give him time. if he feels like it he well try somethign else, but dont try to push the man into leaving something he likes

It wasnt a bad game but there are way too many better games out there.

Ragnarok Online you might wanna try, one hella awesome game.

what i will say next will probebly will make you not want to play runescape {i will try to be more generous then my last post about runescape}

*its very laggy

*the graphic sux {even graal is better, if you dont know what it is look it up in the list}

*its pointless

*reason: ok you start the game you level up you got alot of items you got alot of money you know the whole game and your thew most powerfull, popular, and smart guy in the game, what next? NOTHING! all you can do i just walk around in their sucky freakish little world with bad graphics, its freacking pointless! its not even 3D its some kind of crappy mix between 3D and 2D.

*conclusion: IT SUCKS! and ITS A ****ING RETARTED GAME!

i strongly edvice you quit playing but then agein, its your choice! []

Rs doesn't suck. I am not one who appreciates a game because of graphics. The community is awesome. The fansites for that game are like few other games.

runescape has a great community?!?! LOL dood u really gotta try some other games...

out of the MANY MMO's i have played over the years, runescape still has BY FAR the WORST community ever...

half the people are immature 12 year old kids who go around trying to scam others...

in fact, the community was one of the main reasons i stopped playing that game to begin with (but sure as hell not the only reason)...

runescape sucks because...

small world, shitty graphics (and graphics DO matter, whether u wanna admit it or not), horrably community, crappiest economy EVER (how can u call a game good if 1 person can single handedly ruin the economy...), horrid combat system, horrid PK system, awful weapon/armor selection, boring quests... too many things... its just sad...

and dont go saying that the new 3D update will save it because i have personally played it on a friends account and it was UBER lame... half the beta testers still play in RS1...

if this game wasnt (mostly) free and it didnt have so much word-of-mouth it would have flopped a LOOOOOONNNGG time ago... anybody who has ever dished out money to play a REAL MMORPG will tell you the same thing i have... its a crappy game

Ahh runescape.
The past few years runescape has gone down the crapper,got stuck halfway,resurfaced,and got flushed right back down.I'm not saying its a really crappy game,its just it could possibly be a lot better.The whole game is a levelling treadmill.There are basicly NO items so half the population looks the same...or more..Small diversity of enemies...not many skills..abolsutely no party/group or clan support..I mean most games have at least 99% in ALL of these subjects and more.Try a p2p game for a month,I suggest EQ or Dark age of camelot.You won't be disappointed.

Yo, you said you wouldnt try a game unless you get a month free, try Ragnarok Online, right now it gives you 15 days, which gives you plenty of time to get the idea, and as you wanted its SORT of set in medival times...considering its got swordsmen, thieves, priests, hunters, wizards, and blacksmiths. Its really a good game. By the way, there are no laser guns, or energy weapons, so technically its very....old age based

Graphics DO NOT matter at all. Some of the greatest games ever had terrible graphics. Pokemon sold millions and millions. Their graphics were crap.

Runescape was a good mmorpg like 2-3 years ago but now it's not even close to "good" mmorpgs. I've tried their new Runescape 2 well that you may call good mmorpg, bad thing is that it's still in beta test.

Wow, that was the worst reason I have ever heard. In case you haven't found out yet, ALL MMORPGS ARE THE SAME THING! You level up, get a lot of tiems, get a lot of money, you know the whole game and your through most popular, powerful, smart guy in the game, what next? NOTHING! Hmm, I have seen a game very similar to that, wait, 2, wait, 3, wait, 10, wait, all of them! Good job.

Ok i was(and still am on and off) into runescape. Its was addicting but..lame. If i can find something liek runescape but better and free i wuold be happy. i master rune scape 3 times. I have three file with full rune killed dragon ect. A few things i ahte about rune scape is lack of armor(only 6 types) and lack of wepons ( only 6 types) i mean meatle typs as in iron, steel,mithrial ect. not mace,axe, 2 hander. and they make every thign so common !i cuold start a new file and get addy(second best armor) in a week ! If i were to become a meber i cuold get one more type of armor ......yay

and if i were gogin to pay for any game it wuold be liek ff11 er something. but my darn dail up

Pretty much, if your going to waste your time, waste it on something worth it, like a game you pay a monthly fee for. (although not all are that good, although there are some out there)
