I've been playing L2 for about a year and I generally bite my tongue on this subject as I realise it is an issue in most MMO's.
This morning I briefly logged into the new server Franz, and found it completely overrun with automated players.
The starter areas are completely unplayable at this point. I could not even get a swing in. I stood among a few other non-automated players and looked onto the feeding frenzy going on. We talked.
The situation is unaccesptable and inexcussible. Where are the GM's? I don't want to hear "report them" the GM's should be anticipating this. They should be providing the legit players the customer support we pay for. Its no secret in the MMO community that L2 has a problem with automated players. None at all.
Why is no action taken?
Subscription cancelled. Ban me now, delete the thread, you lost my money. No more monthly payments for you.
Fix your darn game.

Sorry guys, Im out for the guild.

I refuse to support a game that allows this to happen. I will not support them any longer.

Good luck to you all. I'm done with this game and NO you can't have my stuff.

I can't believe your post is not censored yet. My postings on official forums usually lasted for like 1-2 minutes before the ncsoft staff decided to hide the reality from forum readers.

I would pay double monthly fee for a server with GMs but seriously, NcSoft decided to earn their money with bots so I doubt they ever gonna do that.

I cancelled both my accounts this morning.

I'm totally disgusted by the bots outnumbering real players. Bad thing is, this updated bot program they're using can see a group of bots turning on their attacker, so PKing them is pretty pointless.

I was really looking forward to starting afresh on a shiny new server where the economy at least stood a chance of being fair for a while.

No such luck.

Ah Torak, I know who you are now

I thought it would be a good idea to post here about the bot problems. At least NCsoft can't delete these threads.

When I get home from work I'm going to take screenshots of the newbie areas and post them in the players screenshots section here. Then NCsoft will have to take notice as their potential customers will see how bad the problem is and they won't be able to censor or delete them.

I thought NCSoft did fix that problem awhile back? That is what I heard here like last year. Sounds like they were wrong or it is coming back strong.

No lie, its still up now??? Its been 4 hours and a few other post have been deleted around it. Maybe I said it tactfully enough??? Dunno, I'm just as surprised. I left a bunch more replies on other threads that have been deleted, I figured I would at least be suspended by now.

Any of you could post their
ingame screens in this thread? Doubt it will last anyway, as someone is bound
to say or post something that will give mods a reason to delete/lock it, and
they might just delete it gestapo style, but who knows, it might work for
some time. Not to mention it would make a nice gallery.

Ah. I think the GMs just got out bed. All the threads there have been either deleted or locked by now.

Checked Franz as well, for the sake of it. It's a laugh. Not many mobs in starter areas, and the 9 man bot trains take most of the mobs. The nukers take the leftovers. Any melee chars are screwed, because they don't even get the chance to hit a mob.

Lots of people complaining on shout channel. Some logged out before even hitting level 5, either to cancel their account, or to go back to their old server.

That's the brand new server Franz for you right there.

Nope. i can't. NcSoft banned me for asking them why they don't do anything about the extreme bot problem. I cancelled my 3 accounts and wish the bots of retails fun playing with themselves.

The reason why I can't really support it is, because I quit playing games like these last Februari. I am voting with my wallet. Very simple. Besides, tons of people still enjoy games like these, for one reason or another. So none of those games are 'lost'; just a handful of players stopped playing them.

I just moved to other type of games, and I'm enjoying myself quite a bit. Just not in L2.

Don't worry. You'll still be able to log in on the L2 automated leveling servers when you get back from work, paying 15 dollars a month to barely get any customer service at all.

Usually they ban your forum account for saying things they don't like but sometimes they ban your game account right away, too. So be carefull if it's about NcSoft.

Well, for my troubles NCsoft have banned me!!!

I can't believe it. They're quick enough to ban you for complaining about the bots, whilst the bots are still there!!!

Exactly why I am not going to new server nor resubscribing anymore. I was VERYYYY tempted by the new server but good thing I was busy for the whole day so I couldn't get on computer, next day (today) I see screenshots of TONS of bots... Those made me sick

. I am definitely not playing this game until I see definite improvement, not some fanboys saying it is better, I want to see it by mass acknowledgement and maybe a free trial so I can check it out for myself giving this (even though my favorite MMO) another try.

Please not misunderstand Greatness. I am NOT asking for everyone to quit L2.

Thats not going to happen any more then it did in SWG when they lost their game. If you like and enjoy L2, stay with it bro.

I am very upset with NCSoft and their lack of customer service. I will fight that battle BUT will make it public.

I don't expect or want any solidarity. NCSoft's actions speak for themselves, I will just keep letting everyone know

I've placed a post in the general section if anybody wants to add their bit. More people will see it there. I'm hoping MMORPG.com will do a news article on this, but as they run adverts for gold sellers, I have my doubts.
