well u problaby already heard about this from other post ,but is 2008  the end of games.

ive have heard that hilary clinton will be running for pres and when shes elected she will

banned the country of rated M games and even rated T games.

that will make a huge dent in the game industry cause as most of us know our beloved mmorpg like

WoW,Gw,FFX1 and D2 and more will be banned.

But we can prevent it by not voting for her.  but if she is elected it will be fatal

hope it doeasn't happen.

    I am pretty sure congress would have to pass a bill to ban certain games first.

    It wouldn't pass.

    And if it did, they would need to do that for movies as well. She may enforce stricter rules on it, but you can't just ban it.

    where'd you hear this??? i read an article that she was for video games..just not for games like GTA..but GTA shold be AO not M...i mean just look at it!!!


    o well..even if she does..she has more important issues that video games...or so i hope in 2008

    Very true. The government could raise the age restrictions on games all they want, but they would never be able to outright ban games without violating a core principle of the United States.

    And honestly to a point it gets stupid.

    For example, if it was above the age of 21 for a Mature game one could argue that you could actualy DRINK before you could play a mature game.

    I think it will stay at 18, deffinitly. The only thing i see is stricter laws on selling the said games to minors. That's about it. Sucks, but doesn't matter to me anymore because i'm 18

    Besides, the gaming industry is way to big. America would loose money on such a ban. And it would also promote piracy.

    First off...if she runs...she will lose. As many good things are said about her, the general public would not elect her. But of course some will refuse to believe this. But come 2008.....

    Ok in order for this to happen they would have to stop all the riots and everyhting that would happenb, and not to mention if like 2-4000 peopel sign a petition I;m sure every gamer in the world would sign it to make it not possible for hillary to bann them. And idk if she;d be elected any way, not saying that in a sexist way. But idk how others would react to a women president.

    People are stupidly fickle. People would elect either Hilary Clinton or Rev. Al Sharpton into office hands down. Not because they think they'll be good for the job, but because they want to say something stupid like "lawl, I voted in teh first woman/black president". Just you watch.

    Ok lets have a lesson on constitutional law.

    Americans have freedom of speech. This means we can make and sell whatever we like, regardless of content, to fellow americans who are of legal age ie 18. Don't you think porn would have been abolished by the republican religious right decades ago if it was possible? Larry Flynt fought that battle.

    Now we get to the legal age thing. You're supposed to be 18 to buy cigarettes in america. Kids still smoke. You're supposed to be 21 to drink in america. Kids still drink. You're supposed to be 18 to buy porn in america. I had a subscription to Hustler at the age of 9. Laws only work if people respect them. Americans are terribly hard headed when it comes to pleasure.

    ....lol at age 9? No I dont buy into that, maybe a bit older...but nah I dont buy 9 years old.
