Hello.
Would you recommend this game to someone who uses text chat only?
Are there major portions of the game that are inaccessable to someone who uses text chat only?

Second Life isn't the sort of game that has raiding or things like that people feel the need to coordinate in voice chat in other games. It's mostly a social, building environment, rather than a game. It also takes up a lot of CPU power, so running anything else with it is hard on a lot of systems (er... mine in particular)... I am a newbie there, though, so maybe some people are using voice chat, but I don't see any indicators that it is needed.
Maybe some people use voice chat for the sake of being social. Maybe some people use it for voice-chat orgies. Who knows?

That's just sick.. I don't know why they would want to do that on the Internet.. I'm pretty sure there's enough phone/text that everyone can find from TV advertisements..
You have the teen second life that you can download and you cant do what the adults can do.. Also i don't know why people play this game anyways.. Its slows up your computer and tons of flipping bugs i mean tons.. It runs slow.. and i just bought a new computer. I download it and it crashes all the time when i play it..
So i don't play it anymore.. When you try doing things.. like making your own house, making your own clothes... etc... it lags... And when you try to fly come on wtf... it lags when you go up and it takes forever when you come down... All that game does it crashes peoples computer and freezes. them..
Also like you said it does take up a lot of room on your computer.. Now for the Non-voice players.. I did;t use voice why bother... You can type as easily as you can talk.. So why go out and buy a headset that has microphone one it.. Well simple ..Maybe you don;t want to wake up anyone so you put them on its the same has regular headsets.. Also maybe some people want to chat with people on Yahoo.. MN , AOL and what ever else that is out there...
So i played both rolls in this message describing good ideas and bad ideas... Well i hope this helps

Dont blame the game for your slow connection and/or computer. SL runs perfectly fine for me.
