The game is casual friendly yes.  Join a good guild and there will normally be a team you can join to hunt things for a couple of hours if you like.  The great thing is, most high level players will have something low level to level with you and train up, so anyone can group with anyone :)

Give the trial a whirl, its free and unlimited time (restricted to starter land).

As for selling stuff, yes there are NPC merchants you can put your goods up to be displayed and sold for 7 days.

Vendors are linked in regions, by quality (level). So, if you sell a q50 piece of crafted armor to an NPC vendor, players can buy it from any NPC in that region that sells q50 and up. And the money will be forwarded to you automatically. I'd say the player-goods selling system in Ryzom works very well.

Ryzom is casual friendly, imo. I've never felt a rush to level anything. But that depends on your playstyle, really.

I understand why you want a casual friendly game but Ryzom or EQ2? You know the two games are completely different base game designs right?

correct, everquest however has some silly long raids that can last for more than a few hrs

ryzom however has nothing like this

I believe that it is a game that you can play, leave, come back and pick up where you left off. Much more user friendly than several other games. Friendly community to help out. I agree that joining a guild would be a smart thing to do. One that will be flexible with your limited playing time. I'll admit that it wasn't the game for me but it has alot of content and a good environment. Hope you enjoy yourself!

Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.

Exactly what are you looking for Sibu. I mean are you looking for pvp, community or just something that you can jump on occasionally that doesn't require alot of time to develope your character. I see that you like crafting and want an easy way to sell. This game is good for crafting. In fact, it's why alot of people play it. I prefer more pvp. Otherwise a game like Eve online might be for you if you don't mind spaceships. Wurm online has good crafting tools as well but it takes a long time to learn the game and the graphics aren't very good.
