Hello Everyone
Whats up with the date set to 2008 does that mean the game ends on 2008? Date shown 1983-2008
Do they have long term plans to keep this going? Or its Going to be like they did to Earth @ Beyond... After the Take over of Westwood it was end of years hard work.
Anyone know why they set it for 2008 ? When the game comes out in Fall of 2007?
I really like this game! From what i see its a blast!
Hope to see ya in the game someday!
Bob

Just an aniversary thing, I don't really think it has anything to do with the release date of this game.

The game is set withing the Warhammer years of 1983-2008. It's kind of like when people say, 'it's set in the victorian era', they actually mean anywhere betwen years of 1837-1901. It allows authors to pick and choose facts without technically contridicting themselves. WH is set up this way because it's realistic.
But yes, that's the setting of the game and not real years.
no, its not the game setting, its the fact that the peopel who made the warhammer game made it in 1983, and it has stayed successful for around 23 years so far.
in 2008, they will reach their 25th year of success, thats why the date.
how do you people think this stuff up? O.o l
lol
1983 was the initial creation of WAR. 2008 is the span of the copyright period until they renew.
I dont think Warhammer: Age of Reckoning will be taking place in 1983
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.

You mean that WarHAMMER was initial created in 1983, not WAR.

Just the 25 anniversary of Warhammer universe.
Whill the kill the game in the future? Who knows?
Is like asking: will blizzard kill WoW? Futurology.
I think EA is putting a lot of money in WAR to compete with WoW (and the incomming Vanguard and LotRo). I think they learned from the past mistakes, like Earth and Beyond, and will leave Mythic to "lead" the project.
But... How can you be sure they don't end up messing in? Again... how do you know Blizzard won't mess WoW? More futurology.
