I was watching portal on G4 (tv station dedicated to games) and there is a series called portal that is about mmorpg's. Anyways, they showed everquest up to one of the expansions, and i was wondering since when did the tree sway and the textures look sharp? can somone help me out here, the terrain i have now in eq looks like doom and the models are too 3d to be in those maps...

Hmm, that has been there over a year now. Before PoP, maybe before SoL. You've got to crank up all your settings to see it. The tree swaying you should see now though. I remember that back when I was playing EQ a year ago.

Tree swaying in EQ was firt introduced with the Ruins of Kunark.

I remember the first time I saw them, stepping out with my fresh new lizard dude and going "Woah, that tree is moving!!"

My how we've come a long way since then lol

As for the sharp textures and 3D models etc etc, that was most likely with Luclin, that's when the new character models were introduced.
