Aquatic Medieval fantasy?

After seeing an illegal post, I can't help but find they have an interesting idea...

I think the technology is advance enough to offer a nice 3D aquatic MMO, the top of the world been the ocean floor and been available for adventuring at higher levels...

Merfolks, Mermaids, Sea Elfs, sharks and dolphins...yeah I would definitely be looking forward to a "classic medieval fantasy game" which happen mostly underwater!

Undersea cities, swimming(as flying in CoH prolly), bubbles underwater landdewellers in their weird accomodations (submarines, underwater bases and so on, think of Alphatia) I can see quests with evil pirates taking a mermaid as hostage!!!  And needing to go on this foreign surface, full of land dwellers!

Yeah, very classical medieval fantasy MMO, just under water...I miss all these evil Kuo-Tua!

I think it would be pretty ghey but that's jsut me.

You forgot the option: "No" or "Hell No" or "Why in gods name would you suggest such a stupid idea like this"

all would be applicable to this post.

I dunno, I think if it were done right that it could be fun. I think one of the major problems would be movement and position in the water. I know that swimming in DAoC gave me a headache because it was so hard to position yourself vs the MOB you were trying to fight.

    daoc had underwater content.

I dont see it working unless it had superior gameplay and less grind. Adding water to the cliche elf-dwarf level treadmill would = vaporware.

I thought that's what Turbine renamed themselves to.
