Africa, the MMO

So a while back, before I was a member, I remember reading hypes and interviews about a team making an MMO called "Africa" it sounded great, but it was a long way off at the time so I hid it in the back of my mind for a while. Even though it never got much publicity, I know it's currently on the market. Now I'm wondering why it's not still on this site. Anyone know?

    MMO center - what a laugh

    The guy judging from the podcast is very talented and visionary, and kudos for the idea

    BUT

    They announced 3 mmos back in the time , they said they found the way how to make mmos in under a year develop time. Than they went and actually hired mmorpg.com forum members to hype their first MMO

    Cannot even remember the name now (some fantasy thing though) - ah yes THE CHRONICLE

    There was a lot of hype , flame wars etc... I was one of the first to say it will be a waporware...flames

    The game disapeared - since 2005 no word on it...

    The guy that was paid to hype it here , disapeared aswell...

    MMO center ? Is it a hoax ?

    This game looks promising atleast for something new and interesting imo.

    Don't bother with anything from MMOcenter right now. What they have shown here is the same they show to the people who pre-paid over a year ago: nothing. The only one who shows up here anymore is CeasarsGhost and he hasn't been here since our last debate. No videos, no screenshots, no timeline other than "when it's done". that line may have worked for Id with Doom, but it doesn't work in the realm of mmos, especially ones that have been pre-ordered and were supposed to be on the market a long time ago. Again, stay away from MMOcenter and Rapid Reality. It'll save you alot of frustration::::09::

    Its supposed to be a game taking place in Africa, and the game is taking facts and history of the land into a game. The game is aiming to be educational as well as fun. Making the game pretty uniqe IMO.

    Hmm i don't think its out yet as i saw a post just a few days old which fans were asking about the monthly fee cost and when the game will be out.So i gather its not out yet.

    Also no word on the offical site about it been out yet.But yes it looks better then some of the games here that got their own forum so it does indeed deserve its own forum here.

    I was really excited about Africa. A lot of the ideas that were proposed sounded really neat and the setting was a refreshing change.

    It's a shame MMOCenter will probably never get a game produced.
