Playing in Europe?

in Final Fantasy XI
Hi, is it possible to play this game in Europe? I played SWG on an amercan server, but I heard FFXI servers are in Japan - that should make an even worser ping, right? Any europeans playing this game?

    Last i heard Europes planned date was August. :( There are plenty people from the UK playing with no problems tho...

    Lots of people play FFXI from Europe.

    Many UK people are spread across the severs, and both US and Europeans use servers located in Japan.

    I have noted no problems with gameplay and I think I play with pretty much everything on max settings.

    I live in the UK and whenever I am on there seems to be plenty of people on wanting to PT.

    Well i'm not sure...to be honest i don't know which ones are japanese...I'm on Ragnarok and i have no lag problems at all.

    what is the prize that you have to pay for each month? is there a internetcard (for holland) when i don't have to use a credit card?

    The price is 12.95 a month and 1.00 for each additional character(to get rid of exploits). I know that in the US you can't get gamecards and have to use a credit and I'm pretty sure it is like that everywhere.

    why? if they are smart they make 1 gamecard. not everybody has a creditcard. because most online players are 12-20 and don't have a credit-card. stupid microsoft
