    Alto sax for... um... since 5th grade?  I'm 26 now... so yeah... a long time.  I also play the piano, trumpet, french horn, harmonica, guitar, etc etc.

    I also make music and I'm a dance DJ too.  So yeah, I like music.

    Typical band geek... There are more instruments than just those.

    You could have at least included the viol family from string orchestras...

    Ugh...I forgot a spare section for people to vote and see the percentage of each section...darn it .

    Personally, I play the Bass Baritone, at first I wanted to play Trumpet, but then my teacher told me she needed a Baritone player.  I didn't know what a Baritone was back then, but it looked like an upside down trumpet, so I played it instead.  IT OWNS!

    Why split the drums up in cymbals, snare drums and bass drums?

    I have no idea, I'm not exactly "in-the-loop" with the percussion section, I just copied them off of Wikipedia...so...yeah...

    How can you not have heard of a drum-kit?? :S Have you never watched a band live? Lol... Sorry, but I was laughing at this for a while...

    You also missed a lot of other instruments outside of the string section too... And all auxiliary instruments/percussion :P But enough nitpicking...

    I'm a drummer through and through... Played percussion since 2 and drums since 12. Seriously since last year. As with almost all musicians, I think I suck, I guess because what I play is nothing new or impressive to me, and I constantly compare myself with the true masters, but everyone else seems to be pretty wide-mouthed at what I play. It's a nice feeling. Though personally I prefer to drum for myself than for anyone else... It's more self-afflicting :p

    I also play guitar and piano reasonably seriously, and have had a go at playing just about everything. I just love music. As long as it is music of course. I won't say any more than that or I'll get flamed ^^

    I also need a saxist atm if anyone happens to be grade 8ish and in the Bath/Bristol area of SW England :P
