Well, after you die, your body will losen up and all your bowels and everything else will release itself from your body.

It's true, you will piss and shit yourself when you die.

Oh! Oh! and also, after awhile the air in your lungs can come out your mouth, making a "moaning" sound. So you could still get a good prank out even at your own funeral!

The Christian faith actually shares something similar, though not expressely written out as a different form of your spiritual self being judged than the one that goes to Heaven or Hell.  But it does say that you will stand to be judged before Christ and all of your sins will be accounted for.

I've heard some damn convincing ghost stories. One story was about a man who bought a club and hired employees and ALL the employees (including the boss) were convinced there were ghosts. They saw them, heard them, felt them....ect. The boss and employees were personally interviewed about this and some of them did not believe in ghosts, but now do. There are tons of stories like this. I think it's a high probability that there is an afterlife. I don't think it is what Christians say because how do you explain ghosts? They aren't in Heaven or Hell.....maybe playing hooky?

I don't know about you guys but for me, when I die, a ninja will come and rez me. Rezing me is as easy as rezing a thread on the mmorpg boards that was made 3 years ago.

In all truthfullness. I think that even when we die, we will live on in some kind of way. Like a spirit...somthing like that. Maybe even heaven.

If you die and everything just stops, how do you know that your dead or if everything just stopped?

When I die I'll discover that ghosts are real. I'll float around until I figure out how to be seen. You don't need to be a Christian, to believe in ghosts.

I believe in ghosts and I'm not a bloody Christian, that's for sure. ^^

I think ghosts are simply trapped souls that can't either come back as a reincarnation, but they can't "rest" either.

I believe death is oblivion, we won't know when we die, because we will be incapable of knowing anything.

If I break a TV it doesn't work anymore, the body is like this, it is a biological machine.  We are all sort of robots who due to the complexity of our nervous systems have developed a sense of self, which is necessary to develop a competitive relationship with our environment.

I think religion is a great comfort to people because it blinds them to this truth, which is why I think people should pick and choose the bits of religion they like, and don't let it ruin their lives with guilt etc.

What I hate about religion is when it causes people in power to rule those under them according to certain values etc that are built on an elaborate lie.

Just my opinion though, I hope I am wrong and the theists are right, living for eternity sounds like a good deal, even in pain/hell, or as a ghost, I would take it over oblivion.

I hope theres some kind of after life but if not then your life is pointless. Whats the point of living if your just going to die and disappear?...

I'll never die because before that I'll find a way to transfer my consciousness into a computer and continue to Interweb where I rule as a god for all eternity.

No, they'll ask you, Who's your God, who's your Prophet, and who is your book.

    about Ghosts, well, Ghosts as in roaming souls, that doesn't exist for sure :}

    What exist is the Djinns.

I'm not a christian and i believe in Ghosts but in a different manner, because i have had my own experience with them.

I think ghosts are simply trapped souls that can't either come back as a reincarnation, but they can't "rest" either.

Old stories, real Ghosts are but Djinns, there's nothing called trapped souls trust me, Djinns used to live in our house, in fact, a part of our house that was not attached to the house itself, no one lived there for a while, so they decided to take it up as a home, though we kicked them out, first they didn't bother us, but my mother decided to open a workshop for tailoring, so the tailors slept there, and they suffered alot from them, of course we didn't know about their existance until then.

Then my father decided to kick them out and he eventually did.

We played with them once i tell you, me and my brothers and some friends gathered up, and decided to see what's in there, one door was locked by my father and it was so damn dark inside, we knock the door, and the door gets knocked back at us from the inside, we freak out and run ;p

the other room that leads to a kitchten and the bathroom's doors were open, and the water was coming out of the pipe or something, not sure what's the name in english, so my brother and cousin decided to see what's up, whenever they read the door they run away, so they let me in, as a kid, i was like ok let's seee.

i went in and closed the water flow, only to hear the kitchen's water flowing, i was like oh-oh, i ran for the hell of it.

sometimes they come into our house, they call us by our names mimicing our parents' voices, but at those times our parents are not home, so we're like...ignore.

My wife and I have already thought this out....We going to keep the other around after death....both of us think it will be the first time one of us wins that last word fight......

Some parts decompose more quickly, the eyes, etc.  Also remember
that the coffin is sealed, and most of the time the coffin is put into a
cement vault.  When the person is buried, however, they are not sterile, even
though embalmed and the bacteria and fungi will eventually multiply and start
the decay process.  I do not know for sure, but I am sure the soil type is a
factor as is the soil temperature.   When we bury our dead in the
ground, I am sure they decay much more quickly.

    I hope this answers your
    questions.

Sorry to ruin it for you all but I no 100% for a fact that you are the same thing before your birth as you are after death! I also know for a fact that ghosts do not exist and its stupid to even think ghosts are logical.

Its not a happy ending as most of you assume, its just an ending with the rest of eternity being nothing and the only -place one can exist is in the spatial timeline they are native to unless they develop technology to change that.

The only logical way to exist forever is if our existence penetrates multiple dimensions that we are currently unaware of and that may carry our existence through space and time well after we expire in this space-time continuum. Its a much bigger and more complex picture then we currently comprehend so I think it will be some time before we could even give a realistic answer that made any sense to anyone with a working brain and not just come up with some religious slogan.

That's why in Islam it is wrong and prohibited to put corpses into coffins, because in this way they will not become part with the earth, and they won't live while in their graves, which will make their punishments if there were any in hell much worse.

Again, your proof. I'm pretty sure there are ghosts or such, I have experienced one.

You can believe in transdimensional existance, but not in ghosts?

I shoot for the curve... anything above that is gravy.

Yes and I actualy belive that what people see as ghosts are actualy projections made by the brain when the brain is in a highly charged magnetic field. There have been some research done to prove that but I dont think we are at that technological level to do that yet.  How can that explain multiple people seeing the same ghosts though?

Answer, I dont know for sure but I assume since the brain emits alpha/beta waves then maby some kind of reaction can occur when a group is exposed to the same magnetic field and it somehow allows their brainwaves to interact and project an image.

If I ever saw a ghost and confirmed it to be an actual dead person then I would be happy to know some form of afterlife is real but I just cant believe what I have never seen and only heard about like bigfoot.

I like the idea of reincarnation.  The whole cyclical existence to reach a higher understanding is pretty cool.

I never said it was, personaly. I say your reborn as something totally different than before.

I also know for a fact that ghosts do not exist and its stupid to even think ghosts are logical. And just how do you know this? Did "god" come and tell you? No? I didn't think so. I for one have met a ghost. My grandparents old house is haunted, hence why they moved out. So sorry, I am not stupid and YES, I do believe in ghosts. So eat me.

Its not a happy ending as most of you assume, its just an ending with the rest of eternity being nothing and the only -place one can exist is in the spatial timeline they are native to unless they develop technology to change that.Do you need a hug? Did someone tell you that? As in did they come back to life, walk up to you, and tell you that is what happens after death? No? I didn't think so! You can NOT know for certain what WILL happen after death.

The only logical way to exist forever is if our existence penetrates multiple dimensions that we are currently unaware of and that may carry our existence through space and time well after we expire in this space-time continuum.

It amazes me how you go from closed minded thinking to openly thinking. But I still think your argument is idiotic.

Its a much bigger and more complex picture then we currently comprehend so I think it will be some time before we could even give a realistic answer that made any sense to anyone with a working brain and not just come up with some religious slogan.
So everyone who happens to like their faith and religion doesn't have a working brain? Wow, you are stupid. Do go around breeding, you hear? We don't want children end up thinking like you do after all!

So, lets say that that happens.

A person doesn't become religious by himself. lets say a child dies at an early age (5 or 6) and it never had the chance to well, "learn" about religion, would be send to hell for that?
