I start by thanking all of you for completing our closed beta survey on Carpe
Diem. The response has been overwhelming and suggests that this is going to be a
great launch.

 

I
am writing to let you know that we are just finishing the alpha testing process
and will be moving into closed beta shortly. We will be writing to everyone who
has successfully got into the closed beta around Sept 12th 2006. But don't worry
if you miss out, there is still the opportunity to enter open beta which will
start a few weeks later. So please be patient and I look forward to writing to
you again soon.

    I was not expecting this game to be P2P. And based on what I've seen/know this game is going to have to blow me away or fit my hand like a glove to get me to pay $30 plus a monthly fee when there are a number of games releasing this final quarter of the year and into next year.

    I dont think it would be 30 a month, that would just be a waste f time and also money :P

    It's not $30 a month, but you have to pay $30 for the game download and I'd guess $10 a month, which is still asking for a lot.

    i got some good news i recieved a mail for closed beta

    Hello,

     

    This is an invite to join our closed
    beta test on Carpe Diem, which will be starting in the next 10 days. I hope that
    you are still keen to help out.

    Firstly we'd like to thank you for
    applying to join the closed beta. We were amazed at the number of you that were
    willing to help.  We had so many people apply that
    we felt we had to be as fair as possible in deciding who should join. We
    scrutinised all the survey responses and have made our selection on what we
    believe are fair criteria. You
    matched the profile we were looking for.

     

     In about ten days we will send
    you a closed beta key and some instructions on how to send us feedback and
    report bugs and problems. (Don't worry, it's not too much like work!) Please
    follow the directions given, download the client and log into the lands of
    Gilead and Ithalamar.

     

    Please bear in mind that the
    game is not yet perfect.  That's why we're looking for your help! At closed beta
    stage the game could be a little unstable and there will be niggly little things
    that won't look right. Tell us about them and we'll get them fixed.

     

    So thanks once again, and we
    look forward to meeting you soon.
