Star Wars is a great idea for an MMO, the problem with Star Wars is that it is Star Wars, SOE, LA, the DEVS, and Raph grand idea all aside, none of it changes the fact that the fans of Star Wars have always been divided into groups which are then divided into even more groups which are even divided into even more groups, and all of these groups have their own takes on Star Wars, their own Ideas on Star Wars, their likes and dislikes of Star Wars, and all of this is the same in the game. It would not matter if Blizzard or Bioware or anyone ran this game, their still would be a love hate relationship that is ever so present in Star Wars today as their was when it was released 3 years ago. The next game to suffer the same sort of problems as SWG is Star Trek Online (STO).

Damn byotch dat aint no friggn moon fool, dat be a friggn space station byotch.

I agree, that is why mutiple MMORPG's should be made:

1- The Starwars EU Raph dream MMORPG.

    2- The Bioware KOTOR MMORPG.

    3- The NGE Battlefeild MMORPG.

I think each of these MMORPG's if done right could net 350K subscribers each, just because Starwars fans are so diverse and many.  The problem is, these developers would never agree to this because they lack vision and balls.  Well OK, it is a pretty dammed risky idea...

--When you resubscribe to SWG, an 18 yearold Stripper finds Jesus, gives up stripping, and moves with a rolex reverend to Hawaii.
--In MMORPG's l007 is the opiate of the masses.
--The absence of evidence is not the evidence of absence!
--CCP could cut off an Eve player's fun bits, and that player would say that it was good CCP did that.

    Who should?

    I can't tell you.  I'm not a game designer/operator.

    Who shouldn't?

    The people who are.

i say someone comepletely new to mmos.  a company that hasn't made an mmo before.  and i don't want the game to be a class system.  i want the game to be like swg before nge, a huge sandbox of content.  tons of professions, crafting, and you could switch whenever you wanted.  i hate being stuck with one class.  and i don't like making a new character for each class.
