Games coming out similer to diablo

Not a diablo clone, but a game that is similer to diablo in the graphics and gameplay? When i say this i mean it loosly but i have recently starting thinking about simplicitiy. Diablo was easy to play and there was still a econmy that went deep. Deep enough to have me play for years.

Also another thing im looking for in the same game is that its new, so i can start early and  get a relationship type thing goin.

Just wondering if anyone has seen or heard of a game thats in the making or just started say something.

I have been wondering the same thing recently...
Just  loved Diablo 1 & 2 when they where new...

I wonder if there is anything out there or in plan in that style...
Most games now seem to clone WoW cause its "popular" or
Lineage 2 for its grafics (Clevage Overdose)

But Diablo was an easy game to learn yet fun to play.
so... any good news? Anything the Diablo style of gaming?

Im not saying im a retard but i have much more fun with games that are simple, graphics i think make it too big, diablo was big, but you could do what you wanted to relitivly quick, with new games and stuff takes a long time to get to, it can get down on you after a while.

    i agree with you

    Dungeon Siege II....
One of the few games I have not beaten.... I gave up half way trough... got boored

When it comes to games Im too old I guess to handle these hour long grinds for a level...
Unless the game is reaaaaly something special.... kinda like Earth and Beyond was... my all night grinds...
    Damn I miss that game...

Dungeon runners? closed beta sounds exactly what you want. Between the four walls and you and me, it plays alot like diablo.

Shadowbane ? old pvp and slightly complex. Bad graphics tho ? :)

guild wars ? similar (ish) - easy to play, enjoyable with friends tho so maybe not your thing.

    ddo (similar to guild wars)

other than that I can't really recommend much.

have you tried mu? its quite an old game but i found it pretty fun though I didn't play on the official servers, I used private servers to speed up the gameplay because I'm just not the type of person to spend hours leveling up on one game, nor do I have the time to do such things. the official website is www.muonline.com which is the global mu.

I must admit I had quit all mmos as I just can't find any to satisfy me. Then about 3 or 4 beta invites arrived. Archlord / dungeon runners and 9D.

Archlord is crap. can't comment on the last two *wink* but they're both OK.

I must admit I was a serious mmo vet for a while. I have a list with over 20 titles i've played. The one and only that done it for me was Ultima but that was destroyed. Now I just wander the plains on a pilgrimage to find the mecca of online games. (Ultima online 2 :P)

    Diablo was fun though.

How about 'trialling' some older ones you perhaps used to play. SWG changes are interesting, although I think they are trying to revive a dead game too late...

Wow expansion is coming very soon if you were a wow player, that may re-invigorate ya,
soon we'll have some lightweight mmos hopefully, with the likes of huxley, and conan

I personally look forward to The Chronicles of Spellborn but already I am smelling dissapointment. Developers strive for too much initially, then they end up doing too little...

So.. what do I suggest to all of this weird mmo lark? Hold on in there - there are some titles on the horizon that perhaps at the very least are worth a months play.

Do have fun in all your endeavours darling :P

You can always hope that Blizzard releases D3 in the next year. I've read various stories
that they were working on Diablo 3, but were having problems making it fun.

Blizzard is working on a few games, besides WoW, but who knows if the rumors are really true or
    just wishful thinking?

Try Titan Quest, and Dungeon Siege too, they both rock.

yeah i'm not much a fan of pure grinding games, 9D is fun, has loads of quests many new features to it than most games do right now.  Definatly a future top ranking game.

well Mage Knight: Apocalypse looks good. and if you have a DS and are a big fan of the Mage knight table top game they are comming out with a strategy game based on the mage knight table top game same day apocalypse comes out, with exact same rule set and everything so if you play Mage knight you can basically pick it up and play knowing what your doing already. Man I love Mage Knight but I always felt the moment they made a virtual mini game based on it I would be in heaven. Now once bathesda finishes their first person rpg rendition of fallout I am pretty sure I will have a geekgasm.

It's still fun though, this is the only game that got me playing for a really long time and I'm still playing it because it's not like other games which are too repeptitive. I'm still waiting for a revolutionary MMORPG/MMOG which is unique in terms of features, gameplay, good community and ideas. MMORPGs/MMOGs are all too similar these days and even if they are a little bit different from other games theres always that little catch that makes the game not fun to play although everyone has different views on the idea of "fun" so actually it would be pretty hard to make a game where everyone is happy with the gameplay.

Dont remember the name off hand , it was reviewed in a game mag back in 2004 or 2005 , but its a Korean , D1 game Issue 1 is free but you got to pay for the next Issues.

My brother played to Issue 3 , I think , it was just like D1 , think you got a pet or could tame animals with one character. It was based on a comic I think , I ll see if I can find it.
