Yeah I can see the concept of buying a handheld gaming console without buying games for it really makes you happy for your console.

I had a PSP. Oddly enough, I really didnt enjoy mine either.  I mean I can def see how other people would love it but it never really did anything for me.  Even the PSP movies.....never really got into that either (and I guess many others didnt since they stopped making them).

Its too big as a MP3 player, too small to really get into a game, too big to internet chat or text....sorta one of those weird anomolies.

Nintendo DS is sorta the same way for me. Great little concept but not really by cup of tea

First day posting and you are already flaming someone...I think this solves the whole nature vs nurture arguement.  This is proof trolls are born and not raised...  I think if your user information is correct, at your age you should realise that American English is not spoken fluently by every member on this sight.  I do get a sense of irony that someone from Arkansas is bagging on someone about their schooling.

Forum etiquette (ways to be polite if you do not understand what that word means) - Try posting something regarding the thread topic.

Back on topic, I find I use my PSP mostly when I am on business trips.  I can play games and watch movies during the flight that I want to watch.  I have to agree though that other than long trips, I do not get a whole lot of use from it.  It was bought for me by my wife back in March right before the price shot down.  I had never asked for one, she just "surprised me" with it.  Now I feel bad but I think I would rather sell it back and use the money for something else.

I'm pretty happy with my psp, the Grand Theft Auto stories games that are comming out are great and there are some other third party games such as Monster Hunter:Freedom that I have enjoyed...I don't own a DS so I can't really compare the two.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

I'm happy with my PSP. It depends on how you look at it. If you like playing games at work, in your bed or moving around playing games or feel the need for a handheld then it's a good system. Plus you can watch movies and listen to music. It's great if you don't have a portal DVD player or MP3 player. It's an all n one package for me. Worth more than it's price. Don't forget portable internet.

It depends on your outlook of handhelds.

I'm kinda in the same spot as Enigma on the PSP. I havn't owned one but did have the chance to have one live with me for 2 weeks and would have had the chance to buy it at a pretty good price with a handfull of games.

By the end of it, I just found it unruly to bring along with me everyday, it wasn't a particularly MP3 Player because my ipod is 1/4 it's size and holds ten times the songs, the gaming was ok but having to lug around a pretty big machine to start with then all the games just took up alot of space and I'm not the type of girl to carry around a huge purse. The games themselves were mostly just smaller, less advanced games that are availalbe on either PC or PS2, which I know is the point and all but I guess it just wasn't enough for me.

It certainly was a cool little toy to play with for the 2 weeks but even at a great price that I would have gotten, just could not see myself using it enough to justify any expenditure really.

I'm guessing the PSP is more of a Pocket PC than a handheld portable. I can understand where some of you are comming from.

I can't say I actually love mine, but I don't dislike it either. I don't see it as money wasted. I'm really enjoying Wipeout Pure and I'll soon enjoy Tekken Dark Resurrection. Granted, I do sort of feel that I wasted my money buying Burnout and Grand Theft Auto LCS. Ah well.

To me handhelds are pieces of equipment to keep little kids busy while they're out camping in the wild.
I have a big family, almost 10 aunts and uncles (Not including the ones through marriage.) and every year we go to the Ozarks in Southern Missouri to get everybody together again.
Well, every little kid there has a handheld. Most are DS but there are a couple of Psps.
I get so bored at looking at a 3 inch screen...
