City of Heroes: Veteran Rewards Program

NCsoft and Cryptic Studios will be offering a Veteran Rewards program in conjunction with the release of the upcoming Issue 8: To Protect and Serve. This program will offer rewards to players for each increment of three months with an active account, allowing them to unlock special in-game items:

 

In conjunction with the release of Issue 8: To Protect and Serve, NCsoft® and Cryptic Studios™ will launch the official City of Heroes® Veteran Rewards program. This program rewards our fans for their time spent supporting and playing City of Heroes® and City of Villains®.

Specifically, for each increment of three months with an active account*, players will unlock valuable in-game “items” which will come in the form of costumes, powers, badges, and more! The program is retroactive by player account and rewards will be applicable to all characters within each respective account.

Rewards have been determined for the first three years of play and will continue to expand indefinitely. Stay tuned for updates as we reveal the full list of rewards!

    The wings look great! 

    I sense a whole bunch of winged alts filling up my remaining hero/villain slots!

    Just don't screw over too many people by making the time requirement to earn the wings too high.

     I was fortunate in that I started CoH after the intitial burst of balancing on classes early on. Over the last four months Ive enjoyed myself more on CoH then on any other mmorpg. Well except maybe Eve but thats a whole diffrent type of fun for me. Currently I play The Iron Minotaur on CoH and I feel so unique. Unique is something after WoW that I relish. People actualy comment on how neat my outfit and style is. To top it all off I dont feel like theres a elite Template for classes. Ive played some of the oldest players and Ive come up with my own style that lets me compete on there level. Thats something I wasnt able to achieve in a game since Uo. Well anyways Wings look SWEET!

    Im sure wings will be nice for a lot of people, I just hope the dont forget the jetpacks for those of us that play technology based heroes and villians

    You can buy jetpacks in the Arena to be used in the PvP areas. Currently not implemented in PvE areas.
