Dark and Light builds communities..

I've never ever played this game. Every now and then i run out of stuff to read and I come onto the DnL site here at MMORPG. You have to admit. Even if the game is horrid, its built a community.. I can't tell you how much I laugh reading the DnL boards.

    Yeah it built a community. A community of befuddled haters of the game. I could see making a bad game and then saying "OOPS people! We're sorry! Here is some free time while we backtrack and fix our multitude of mistakes." Instead we got "This game was prematurly released because of our JACKASS fans who forced it's release!" and then "It's still an awesome game though that requires a premium price to join." All other inquiries get this message. "........................................................................."

    Makes you wonder, does it not?

    Played Wow, D and L, AOC, GW, Eve, Rift and many more insignificant games.

    Awww.. Prediger its not the actual community and what they feel that makes me laugh. I feel for all of you that had hopes in it. I've played my share of bad games..and im from SWG before my game was rewritten not once but twice..so i know what you are feeling.

    Its the posts that make me laugh.. some of them are just halirous and most of them are refering to what crooks DnL team is.

    I agree with the above poster. I read the release statement and I was like..did they actually just blame their fans for making a crap game? That took alot of nerve to blame it on everyone else and take no responsbility whats so ever..

    first of all tepthtanis nice avatar, second any non bias opinions on the game? cuz i know everyone flames any game but is there any good to this game(dont state the bad been reading this forum no need to repeat), anyways ill check back in a fiew days and see, otherwise keep up the struggle guys.

    Im not sure your serious or trying to be funny. I haven't played the game at all but after the dev statement of blamming the problrms on the game because the fans made them release it to early, I would think that is warning enough.

    Everyone wanted to like this game. The screen shots looked great, the world is huge, the transpertation modes were interesting but I think the dev's learned its not easy filling all those square miles of space.

    All these people feel cheated, betrayed mistreated. Why on earth would you think they are over reacting and there's really some good to the game?

    Me myself I wouldn't touch this with a ten foot pole.

    NastyNitro, I played this game long enough to decide that the only good about it is the landscape.
    If you want to pay to see some very nice landscape.  Go for it. 
    I suggest downloading a nice wallpaper instead.

    On the brighter sight, they did give me  a refund.  Then tried to charge me $15 for the next month.   When I wrote back telling them I wasn't paying and had cancelled, they issued me the refund for the registration fee (again).  First time I got paid to play a "released" game.

    Thanx! First off, I would have to agree with shadowchaser...nice big empty landscape. It looks good. But I can't think of anyone that would play an mmo just to admire a nice sunset. To avoid being biased I will simply say that when I played SOG I had a good time. It was playable but devoid of the content that would be in DnL. It was the people and my guild that made it enjoyable for me. When DnL was released it was a nightmare. Nothing seemed to work and none of the promised content was there. I couldn't even kill a level one fricken spider with my wizard for crying out loud. I waited around for about a week to see if there were any bigtime fixes or at least a "my bad!" from Farlan. But there was nothing so I quit and got my refund a month later. After that, anything I could say would be biased. I hope I was helpful!?!?

    gah i really wanted to have hope for this game, guess not, oh well gotta wait for these darn quarter3 n 4 games to release  but just had to see if i could get anymore feed due to how negitive people are on forums. aiight logging off this forum for good see ya and keep up the posts.
