AO because the grind was not overused yet and it was fun. There was allways something to explore or work for.
Neocron (1): Because it was a very nice game with nice teampart. (Taking over ops and stuff). I like post apocalyptic games too.
SWG after release: Was nice graphics and lots of stuff to do. Shame they missed out on making more imaginative quests. Left long before the bad patch.
EvE Online: All time best i am still playing. Started playing in early beta. Left twice and came back soon after. The devs of this game are plain awesome. There is allways new stuff that gets added and that's free expansions too. It has it's flaws (fleet battle lag) but for me it is the best MMO out there by far then long time nothing.
Each MMO I've played had some superior element that other games don't quite have.
DAOC - 2.5 years - Best PvP experience, especially from a role playing perspective as part of Shadowclan on the FFA Mordred server. Was nothing like defending your guild's personal keep from assault by larger, stronger guilds on the server and it was a blast learning to speak our own "kobold" language. Ug dir lat, Pinkis!!! (hello to you, humans)
WOW - since Beta - best questing experience, most fun to level up, never really felt like I was grinding, character classes are very interesting and play quite differently.
Lineage 1 - 6 months - Best social system - probably because the game mostly blew.... so social interaction was the norm. Also...they had BTELs... (blessed teleport scrolls) that let users mark 30 locations on the map that they could instantly teleport to. Decent keep assault combat as well. I still have friends I stay in touch with from this game.
Lineage 2 - 6 months - Worst grind I've ever seen in a game, however the massive keep defenses were amazing. Wish I could have gotten one character up to 70 (my highest was 52) so I could have competed on a more or less even footing. Most fun game to attack gold farmers... and to group with gold farmers..
Shadowbane -3 months actually enjoyed the combat system, the loot penalties w/o totally wrecking your characters, the surprise Pvp attacks were cool and .... some characters could actually fly....which was terrific.....
RFO - 10 day trial - Lineage 2 with Robots instead of elves..(wait..they had elves too).. Not much to like about this game except... being a Robot.. was a ton of fun.
Everquest 1 - 3 days... uninstalled and deleted it immediately... later finding out most of my problems were related to a weak video card... probably would have been fun to play.
City of Heroes/Villians 3 months each- Can't beat the character customization in this game.. truely amazing... now, if only they could have coupled it with interesting gameplay and fun pvp... oh well... and... you can fly and superjump in this game..truely was blast to do both....

AC2= my first love so it has a special place in my heart. Environment was awesome, I loved the sky and the 3 kingdom concept, patron/vassal system, & easy social interaction was nice. I also had a great time with my guild and followed them over to WoW
2nd place
WoW= I love the lower lvl BG's. I would have twinked my whole life away in that game. I also loved the citys and structures within. I loved how explorable they were; so many corridors, levels and rooms.

No game has ever captured me like SWG did and it still pains me to this day that the deveopers changed what I once loved. To bad even the original developers couldn't seem to actually add any content of their own...

DAoC and EVE are best imo.

You said MMO, not MMORPG so I think I choose WarRock. It rocks, and it's just the Open Beta.
