pvp mount confusion

in World of Warcraft

the mount that you need to be rank 11 to buy, it costs 100g, do you NEED to be rank 11 to ride it too, or do you only need rank 11 to buy it?

    You have to have attained rank 11 once atleast if you want to be able to ride it. Just getting it from a friend won't work.

    so lets say you drop to rank 4, you can't ride it anymore?

    No no, you can ...

    I was just referring to the situation where someone who is rank 11 buys a mount and trades it with someone of a lower rank, in that case the lower rank won't be able to use it, if he hasn't attained rank 11 before.

    If you once reached rank 11, you will be able to ride it forever.

    ok cool, that's what I needed to know, I wanted to do exactly what you described but looks like i'll have to pvp my ass off anyway lol
