Is it worth buying UO?

I have just finished playing SWG and need a new challenge until Ultima X: Odyssey.

So is it worth purchasing UO? i want a game where it is easy to get on alone, but also with a group and i want character development above graphics and gameplay and all else really.

What does everyone think?

Muahahahahahahaha

ARGH! i just read that there are no actual classes in UO. Hmm maybe it isnt actually the game for me, anyone know a game with proper classes and proper levelling rather than skills etc?

Unfortunately, it is against the rules set up by EA to host private servers for UO. Therefore we cannot condone it here at MMORPG.COM.

Why in the world would you consider UO even.I mean yeah in the 90s it was fun but many games have surpassed it in every single field be it quest, combat, class, graphics, trade skills .

Game you want is DAoC bro enuff said.Go download the free 7 day trial from gamespy.

Classes are distinctive and by the time you reach pvp you will see that even more so.In pve they are have particualr roles to play too.

You level the old fashion way level 1 to 50 and each time you gain a level you spent points to determine how you want you class to be .IE to use slash, thrust or crush weapons.Or magic to use ice, fire or wind based spells. This are just examples and each has its on benefit.

Every class can solo in the game.Just depends on degree of soloing. Some solo higher then their level with no need to stop for a rest like the necromancer some need a break and can only solo even cn mobs.

Give it a go and see what you think.

If you have a system that can run SWG it certainly can run DAoC.Problem must lie in the driver which is easy to solve just play around with drivers until you find one that fits.

It is a game worth trying and the techincal problem can't be more then a few drivers.

DAoc needs about half the specs of SWG so can't be the system.
