Just got another email, i'm sure you guys did too.
The guys
are playing it pretty sneaky. Basically, if you don't want your beta
character completely wiped like they usually are, pre-order the game
and your character will continue into the live game. I think this is
retarted. All this will do is encourage alot of people to power level
during beta when it should be used for other things such as finding
bugs, exploring and generally enjoying the game and discovering the
mysteries around it. But now we're gonna have tons of people power
lvling from day one. Yay..
Heres what was in the newsletter if you havn't got it yet.-----------------------------------------------
Hi from the Persistent Worlds team,
As
some of you may have already picked up from the MMO press, Carpe Diem
is now entering the Closed Beta phase. Many thanks to everyone who
applied to become a closed beta tester and we are sorry we couldn't
accommodate everyone. However the response was truly overwhelming. We
had so many people apply that we felt we had to be as fair as possible
in deciding who should join. We scrutinised all the survey responses
and have sent out invitations to as many as we have capacity for in
closed beta.

But don't despair if you didn't
receive an e-mail as there is still a chance to get into the open beta.
We will be e-mailing everyone with details on this in around three
weeks.
If you can't wait and want to be sure of getting some of
the action, then we are running a pre-order promotion that has some
great features:
* Sign up by 30th September and get guaranteed access to the beta
* Usually the servers are wiped clean after beta but we will manually
transfer pre-order customers' characters into the live game
* Choose from some great exclusive in-game items
* The first month's subscription is free. (We have yet to announce the pricing but this is a saving of around $13)
If you want to know more details about this exclusive promotion then go to:

once again, thank you for all the support you have shown the Carpe Diem
team. We hope that you will all get to play the game and will love it
as much as we do.
We will write out again soon and let you know
how the beta is progressing. In the meantime whatever you play, we hope
you enjoy your gaming.

Second thing on to do list is explore as it's the best way to learn where to level and where instant death is and to check for any annoying graphical bugs.
Third is questing for spelling and make sure the quests actually work.
Then fourth leveling.
I am just going to log in and stand there, as I seem to always have some kind of gravitational pull that attracts bugs and errors. I will likely get 10 crash errors at once, 9 of my items will duplicate then destroy themselves, I wont be able to render my characters left eye-brow and then I will get ported to a random location and be banned for teleport hacking O.o
Ya I know what you mean.
With me on board this beta I can almost garentee that the server will crash and we will lose everything and have to restart from scratch at least 4 times lol...
Hense a good reason not to power level lol...
