Is anyone else having problems picking what class you wanna play with the information they have realeased? I seem to have narrowed it down to a caster because i simply love what they are doing with the Spell system being able to upgrade and custimize your spells is very intriguing.

But that is as far as i have got i'm completely stuck on Wizard/Neco/Warlock and i just hope they give some more info on these classes for we can make more informed decisions before the game ships.

Yeah, I agree with you.  I'm having a tough time deciding which class because they all seem cool and different, but SOE hasn't released the positives/negatives of each.  Right now I'm leaning towards something in the warrior tree but other than that I'm stumped.  Most likely I'll completely change before release.

I will be going High Elf Enchanter almost for sure, unless they release some disturbing information about enchanters that turns me off. So far so good.

Right now I am leaning towards something in warrior....any suggestions on which one?  I have always liked armored people, but I'm still not sure.  More info on these would be nice, but again, I doubt SOE will be saying much more.

Fighter - Fighters use brute strength and sturdy weapons to deal physical damage to their enemies. Always at the forefront of combat, fighters stand toe-to-toe with opponents while keeping their allies from harm. No matter the risk, fighters never back down from a challenge.
    • Warrior - Warriors utilize heavy armor and weapons to safeguard their companions and inflict damage upon the enemy. They stand bravely at the forefront of battle, striking fear into the hearts of their opponents.
      • Guardian - Guardians don heavy armor to protect themselves in combat and aid in the defense of their allies. They will stand firm against any threat and lead their party to victory.
      • Berserker - Berserkers are chaotic warriors who inflict heavy damage with all manner of weapons. Their furious attacks overwhelm their opponents, to whom they show no mercy.
    • Crusader - Crusaders are armored juggernauts that call upon divine powers to aid them in battle. Capable of dealing impressive physical damage, crusaders can wield a variety of weapons and shields.
      • Paladin - Paladins are crusaders for all things good and right. Wearing heavy armor, these valiant defenders of truth fight for nobility, honor, and virtue.
      • Shadow Knight - Shadow Knights are insidious dark crusaders who use the power of evil to advance their cause. They live to inflict fear, hate, and despair upon all who cross their path.
    • Brawler - Brawlers specialize in physical combat styles that bring them face-to-face with the enemy. Favoring light armor and hand-to-hand battle tactics, brawlers have honed their bodies into potent weapons.
      • Monk - Monks are disciplined combatants who specialize in the martial arts. Their natural agility allows them to avoid their enemy?s blows and strike back with clean, efficient counterattacks.
      • Bruiser - Bruisers are powerful thugs who use raw physical force to pummel their opponents into submission. They have transformed their bodies into brutal weapons designed to inflict suffering upon their enemies.

    Any suggestions?

Yeah for sure this will be very hard, but even after the game ships they are doing the whole introduction to your class (newbie isle) thing. I for sure will be a fighter as they are finally going to be fun to play, I am leaning towards ogre/iskar/human sk atm, but it can change.

    Unsure,

Illusionist OR Coercer OR Templar OR a bard, just have to figure what will be the most group desired.

    OR

Necromancer and to hell with groups!  (if solo is appealing, but SoE maiking an appealing solo system?)

I have confidence that SOE will make soloing better in EQ2.  They have stated in interviews many times that this is one of their main goals.

To make solo appealing there is only 1 way...

Best, most uber soloer, need to have earn his stuff in solo...

I strongly doubt SoE to not give best soloing edges to groupers and Raiders like they always does! :)

I'm curious to know what the lvl cap is in EQ2? are they doing to do the 50 again?

As for me, Paladin all the way. and if they allow secondary characters, Bard would be my second choice. would be interesting to see how game play is from the very get go. I started EQ a year after it was released, give or take a month or two. A buddy of mine hooked me up with a Black Chitten BP, or atleast I think that's what it was called. Been so long since I've camped Sol A.

Soon to be Paladin again... on EQ2
