Seeing the original devs talk about their plans for the game is sad. All I hear is the potential of a wonderful game already knowing the future of that potential....that it got killed. I've read in these forums (mmorpg.com's swg forums) that bioware hired some of those guys. I just hope that they will have that same kind of vision for whatever game bioware is making.

There is a part in their where raph refers to the game as a 'stage' and every player wants to play their role.. or that you want to have the player have roles they want to play. Something like that...
Which is the game we had.
What SOE thought would work better is making a game.. that isn't a stage and you have no personal role. Kind of like that scene in "the wall" where they put the kids in the meat grinder so they all come out "the same".
Everything they said no one wanted and removed was what made the game unique and what is even sadder.. was the cuts they had to make to hit a deadline... beyond the game needing just a few fixes and balances.. we never saw the game they wanted to develop..
between LA and SOE you had two corporates pushing to have "it now" rather than have it right.
