I'm chinese, i have seek an open test beta mmorpg for a long time(i don't care it is good or not, i just want to take part in). frankly speeking, i m not lack of open beta mmorpg to play, because these are too many in china. the chinese game management is quite different from US and Europe. all the games are free permanently except some very mmorpgs such as WOW.
the reason why i come here for help is that i'm planning to learn English in the english speeking server mmorpgs, for it's too hard for me to remember the innumerable english words, and i've no idea how to use them either. hah~ maybe you guys have found me. i speak broken english, i'm an english beginner and i have to learn it for some reasons that you guys will never understand 
. so i don't care if the games're good i just want to take part in... and chat with others.
of cause, i am very glad and welcome you guys to play mmo or other games in chinese server, i am so sure that i could get a account for you ~free(of cause there're very few games it is for charge but if you can seek a mmo for me i could pay it for you

Games, forums, and chats can be a quite good place to start learning english. It all depends on what kind of games, forums, and chats you're using ofcourse - I started out by joining an NWN PW server called Narfell. Hardcore roleplaying server, using hardcore ruleset. The community was mature, and very dedicated to the server itself - The amount of time i've spent on IRC chatting with the community, helped me a darn lot.

Yeah, I guess it does depend on where you go to chat becase I've known a few people from a text game I played to learn english on the internet.

Hi Fallavor, don't worry about the English, your actually doing very well considering but I completely understand where your comming from. My native languages are Russian and Mandarin and I didn't start to learn english untill my early teens, school was rough to say the least
.
It's still not great and I learn tons from forums like these of course, writing in MMO's helps allot too, now it's mostly spelling and grammar I don't do very well with or sentence structure... heh actually ok I'm still not great, but learning! It's actually really nice to someone trying though so good luck with it.
I'll send you some links to some open beta's that you might be interested in.

i'm sorry, i can't quite catch him, what does 'inferior minds' mean? not so smart? i don't mean that. i'm speaking about chinese examing system and employment system, and it's really intricacies... Chinese is not so mystery. And thank you all very much for reading my words, long, broken, and you can finish it, i really love you guys and wish to play with you. It's very excited to find some people like me to learn English in the game and forums, great!
